Introduction and Gameplay Basics
Hey, in this guide I will be going over a number of different things, although it will mainly be focused on achivements. However, before you get those achievements, there are a few basics that you should know.

Your Tools Available to You:
  • Mop
Pretty standard stuff, just click on messes and dunk in water when completely bloody.

  • Hands
Used to interact with all of the machines, including the check in terminal.

  • Sniffer
This handy little device beeps in higher or lower tones, depending on how close you are to an object or mess. When it beeps higher, you're close. When it beeps lowers, you are either far away from a mess or there are no more messes. You must first activate it by left clicking. To switch from messes to objects, right click. All you have to do is remember blue = blood and green = objects.

  • Broom
This item isn't actually part of the standard tools that you first spawn in with. The tool can be found both in the spawn room, in between the right door and the wall, or in Santa's office, to the left leaning against a cabinet. The broom can be used to gather things such as shotgun shells. It can also be used as a less effective mop, but I would recommend only using the mop as your blood and soot cleaning tool.

There is also your trusty trunk, which you will use for a number of different achievements.
For many, simply deposit your collectables inside to get an achievement.

Your machines that you have at your disposal are as follows:

1. The Slosh-O-Matic (Bucket Dispenser)

If trying to get the Christmas Crisis Averted achievement, make sure to save each time you use this machine as it will sometimes dispense lit TNT, completely destroying a ton of ornaments.

2. The What A Load (Waste Bucket Dispenser)

Not nearly as dangerous as the Slosh-O-Matic, but will occasionally dispense body parts.

3. Fireplace (Furnace)
Used to destroy dismembered elves, rubble, buckets, bins, bottles of alcohol, and eggnogg.

4. Check In / Check Out Terminal
Used to clock out after you've completed cleaning.
Thunder Candle
To get this achievement simply grab a stick of TNT and light it using the fireplace. Hang onto the TNT and watch your giblets fly everywhere alongside the jingle of a new achievement.
The Day the Funk Died
Grab the Ice-Cold Banger and throw into the fireplace to meet its fiery demise.

The Nose Knows
Turning to your left, go through the hole in the wall and down the stairs. Once down, you'll find yourself in a stable. Walk all the way down the stable and look to the right of the door at the end of the stable. The nose should be partially hidden in the hay.

Once you have the nose, bring it back to your Janitor's Trunk.
St. Nick's Boomstick
Following from where you first spawn in, turn to the right and enter the room below the balcony.

The room should look like this. ^
Walking forward from this point, the shotgun will be located to the side of the dresser that appears on the right.

Bloody Incompetent
For this achievement, simply grab an elf body and track blood in every room. Once you're done smearing the elf all over everything, check out and the achievement should be yours.
Rooks Kept
To unlock this achievement you must find the following four rooks. All four can be found in the main room on top of the tables. Once you have the rooks, simply place them into your trunk to obtain the achievement.

Ballistic Weaponry
Pretty much the same as with the rooks, except you will have to venture out of the main room to find these. However, each weapon can still be found on top of the tables in each room.

Head Hunter
To get this achievement, you must find all of the elf heads and store them in your trunk.
Elf head locations are as follows:
1. In the spawn room, against the door.

2. Right next to the What-A-Load

3.Located on the stairs in the main room leading up to the second floor.

4. On the floor in the room off to the left of the main room.

5. In the room off to the left of the main room, on top of the table to the left of the doors leading down to the stables.

6. In a bucket on the left side of the stables.

7. Top on the balcony, underneath some floorboards.
Tower of Babel
This is where I built my own tower, but it can be built in a few other places if you're feeling adventurous. My own reccomendatation is to build a smaller tower, as shown in the picture to help you reach some of the stools in the middle. Once you get higher than you can reach there, move onto the staircase, and from there work off of the railing on the balcony.

Cleanliness is Godliness
Pretty straight forward, just clean up all of the blood and soot and clock off.
Sanitized Earth
Same as Cleanliness is Godliness, except that this time you have to throw everything that you find into the fire. Once done, clock off and the achievement is yours.

You can combine the two console commands killnearestnonmess and killnearestmess to get this achievement quite quickly. Instructions for how to bind this command to a key can be found in the section below.
Christmas Crisis Averted
Clean up the whole mess without breaking or burning the following objects:
  • Christmas Ornaments
  • Presents
  • Machetes
  • Voodoo Dolls
  • Santa Hats
  • Lanterns
  • Ballistic Weapons
  • Rooks
  • Candy Canes
  • Ice-Cold Banger
  • Candles
  • Rocking Chairs
  • Stools
  • Santa's Shotgun

What should be burned:
  • Elves
  • Rubble
  • Dynamite (To avoid blowing up the whole place, put the dynamite inside of a water bucket)
  • Rudolph's Nose
  • Buckets and Bins
Please note, this list is based off of what was left after I had removed everything that was considered a mess.

After everything is cleaned, simply check out at the check in terminal in the spawn room.

If you don't feel like doing this legitimately, there is always the console.
To start, press the tilde key [~] usually located in the upper left of your keyboard. Once there, enter in enablecheats. After you've done that, type in killnearestmess. Unless you feel like inputting that a hundred times, you'll probably want to bind that to something. To bind this, type in setbind x killnearestmess. You can replace x with whatever you want, depending on preference.

It should be noted that if you're doing this with other people, only the host can enable cheats and actually cheat.
Santa Hats Must Die!
Santa hat locations:

1. On top of the Slosh-O-Matic.

2. On top of the What A Load.

3. On a shelf in Santa's office.

4. In spawn area, on top of the check in terminal.

5. On top of the fireplace in the main room.

6. Perched upon a lantern in the spawn room.

Grab these hats and throw them into the fire. Create a new game when you've burned all of them and repeat until you've burned 50 for the achievement.

remember, if you're having trouble carrying the biohazard case things, you can hold shift to walk slow

Out of the trunk achievements, I think that you are just about able to do 3 out of the 4 in one run (St. Nick's Boomstick, Rooks Kept, and Ballistic Weaponry). The heads for Head Hunter will have to be done on another run.

For Sanitized Earth, you have to reach the top ornaments and get them all, too. Not being able to figure out how to clean if you tnt them(then you have a mess you can't reach), I had to fly, drop them, and clean, since I was trying to do it as legit as possible.

Hope this helps anyone else who's trying it!

for the trunk achievements, you have to finish the level with at least 70% completion.

I know from playing the base Viscera Cleanup after Janitor's Office/Closet was added that you can't be fired and get the collection achieves. There's a % clean threshold that lets you take your collected items to your office, but I don't remember what it is.

I'm not quite sure what the problem is. When I completed my achievements, all I had to do was put them into the Janitor Trunk and then clock out. I know that since writing this guide they've added a litlle home base for the janitors. You could see if there's maybe any issues there. Other than that, I'm afraid I'm of little assistance.
