Description
Improves the Vanilla Japan civ, making changes to all their components.

Fully compatiable with JFD's Tojo.

UA: Bushido

Units fight as though they were at full strength even when damaged. +2 Culture from each Atoll, and +1 Culture from Sea Resources.

UU: Samurai

Elite Infantry unit of the Medieval and Renaissance. Replaces the Longswordsman. Is initially stronger than the Longswordsman, and starts with Shock I. Gains increased combat after Gunpowder, and the Leadership promotion after Chivalry. Is more expensive to maintain. Can build fishing boats withoug being consumed.

UU: Zero

Air Unit designed to launch itself at units. Only the Japanese may build it. This unit has a bonus against other Fighters, as well as all Naval and Land units and does not require Oil. Kills generate Golden Age Points.

No, the Zero doesn't have a kamikaze animation. I was unsuccessful in my attempt, but I would be grateful if anyone who has knowledge of Civ 5's animations could have a look.

Also, if EE is in use, the Samurai will upgrade into the Line Infantry. Zwei833 will claim credit for this, even though I had the thought first :,(

If Renaissance Era Revised is in use, then the Samurai will also gain a 25% Combat boost against Spearmen, Pikemen, Tercios and Landsknecht upon discovering Large Weapons.

All changes can be enabled or disabled in the UserSettings SQL file. Open it in Notepad.

Please make any balance suggestions where necessary.

Yes; it can perform all normal air missions as normal, including with bonuses against other Fighters and generating GAP if it kills during an air mission. What's different is that its range attack will kill it; to compensate, it's got a ~300% combat mod against land and naval units, to (hopefully) ensure it will kill in one shot. Feel free to disable this, though, since it is potentially weaker than the old Zero - see the UserSettings file in the mod's folder, or just use a mod that replaces the Zero like the Dojo mod.

I was just refering to this post [forums.civfanatics.com], where you mentioned that the Samurai should ugrade to Line Infantry. It was mere jest, nothing more.
