After Dark Required: Commercial Entertainment building.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The Miyagi Development and Landscape Design Company brings you the new Americana Promenade Shoppes and Entertainment Neighborhood, updating your community's existing buildings with today's promenade style of main streets, so popular that it has been cross country cookie cuttered from San Diego to Portland, Maine! More will be forthcoming as soon as we finish retooling the tickytacky box-forming machines.

This location of the successful Buccal Mucosa Steak Restaurants, Inc. is next to the new "Fresh Meat Meat Market", which also runs a private basement nightclub, which interestingly enough is also called "Fresh Meat Meat Market"! How creative!" ^

This was the vanilla 2x2 restaurant 2. What's different? A lot!

* Lushly gardened: custom landscaping by Miyagi
* Expanded to 3x4 which makes it sit on a different position than vanilla. Adds variety
* Softer landscape lighting in Promenade style (pleasant walkway with benches, ground level lighting along a street with cozy commercial buildings open in the evening)
* 4 new tasteful terra cotta colors to add more variety to the vanilla building colors

Fully made over landscaping, softened lighting and attractive accessories to transport your entertainment and tourism buildings to a more modern suburban / urban gentrified style of neighborhood.

There's a way to make districts that have a combination of whatever buildings you wish to show, and only those will appear (no higher level will replace them). It's called Building Themes per District Mod and it's how I make these districts of AP only, or UK terraced only, or Brooklyn only etc etc... Check it out! http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=466158459

UPDATE: Fixed missing item and changed to vanilla trees and bushes: this means that you can use these in snowy maps and they will change automatically to snowy versions.

@Sneaky_GHoSt I changed the tree to a low tri and lower memory one. Thank you for pointing that out!!! :steamhappy:

Thanks Breeze! You're the best!

So I tried everything, everything else is either too big, or really... ugly. So there's two different things you can do: I set the file free so you can open this building in the asset editor and replace that tree with a tree of your choice (and change anything else you want to, too!). Just remember to save your version with a different name!! The other thing you can do is not use the tree much elsewhere in the rest of your city. I haven't had any problems and I run it on a laptop.

Oh it is? Oh, you're right, I didnt notice it has that many tris. I did want a nice, light tree that has space between branches. I almost used this new tree here. What do you think: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=564663290 . It looks great with the building too, but it definitely makes the composition look less city / ornamental tree style, more Canada/Rocky Mountains sort of rugged frontier forest look. Which is great too, but I'd put in a western fence. How about another edition? "Rockies"? lol
Do you have an alternate tree idea? Thanks!

Love it! Would it be possible to use a different tree? The one here is a huge resource hog.

Both :D If I were able to make buildings I would make my own with multiple versions of course. I do that sometimes with maps

Is the problem to change the type of building? Or you think using After Dark building in Vanilla game isn't ethically?
MrMiyagi  [author] 30 Nov, 2015 @ 5:06am
Unfortunately I cannot 3d model. This nice building is a Cities Skylines After Dark vanilla building that Colossal Order made, I have done an outside makeover of. The sixth picture is a before/after picture so you can see the change. At this time there are only 4 tourism and 2 leisure buildings in the Workshop, and we're many months past the release of After Dark. I usually keep this sort of edited vanilla building for myself, but people wanted it so I published.
If a modeler has created a building who really likes the way I "garden", I'll be more than happy to do a team project, like "model by ____, landscaping by MrMiyagi".

Please, make your buildings don't only growable, and ploppable parks too (or growable for commerce), because not all players have After Dark DLC.
