Story
In year 1982 winter, Force Recon Marines were sent into Antarctica to investigate and destroy key targets. What the Marines discover is a terrifying alien virus that can assimilate any living organism perfectly. As the Marines continue on their mission they also discover the alien virus isn't the only threat out there in the cold of darkness.

Movie Monster Kings
My favorite monsters of all time that I truly believe to be the most terrorfying in film history is the Alien, Predator and The Thing. I've always wanted a new game based on the John Carpenter film The Thing, but it never happened. I held off making The Thing for a long time ever since I used the Arma 2 editor. I felt there wasn't enough mods out there to truly bring it to life, until now. The Thing Classified Specimen is a sequel to the last two films, so think of it as The Thing 3. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! If you haven't seen John Carpenter's The Thing and the 2011 prequel The Thing, go see those films.

This mission was a labor of love from me as a hardcore fan of John Carpenter's The Thing. Hope you enjoy!

Gameplay Tips
Very important when you see an object to grab analyze it well, see all the details about it before grabbing the next object. Be on the look out for vehicles you can use to make traveling easier, make sure to stay off the rock areas and drive on the snow or else you might get stuck. In MP do not disable the AI it will cause issues with the insertion/extraction helicopters and other complex triggers. When you start A3 only enable the required mods for the mission, having extra mods installed could also cause strange issues for the game. Lastly, make sure your ingame sound levels are at it's default settings which are 100% for music and sound effects. That goes for all my missions.

es un chiste interno con mis compañeros del clan "Desarmados", ayer jugamos esta misión y a final queda yo solo vivo y morí cuando me refugie de una horda en la azortea de un edificio y sin querer me cai jajaja (la mison esta muy buena)

hay que poner barandillas en los edificios, son muy peligroso por que podes resbalarte y caer en medio una horda...

Very good atmosphere and some jump scares. Really felt the dread.
Sadly some error messags during gameplay: "sound file not found".
Also it was a bit hard to find all the evidence / clues. Even though I looked in every nook and cranny at the scenes I was. I give it a 4 / 5 score.

Make sure the Nato Rus weapons CBA is installed and enabled correctly, and it should work, based on the error message.
