Sub-Building Template (only for asset creators)

Description
This building template is for asset creators who want to use the sub-buildings enabler mod for their assets.

The template is based on one of the modules of the International Airport.

What's so special about this template?

  • Can not be spawned manually by the player (no entry in menu)
  • Does not require a road connection
  • Uses a "Dummy" AI: No crime, no fire, no visitors, ...
  • Can be found in the transport category in the asset editor (category can be changed with UI category changer)

It can also be used to create "dummy" buildings without any functionality (and without a need for road connections).
You can edit some of the properties with mod tools (e.g. that players can place it ingame). Just ask me if you need help.

you have to apply a DummyBuildingAI with mod tools. The easiest way to do that is to use a template that uses such an AI.

Sorry, that was a mistake. I hit the wrong button on mobile, and there was no way to bring it back.

The answer is yes.

For a better result, use the ".../Building/NoBase" shader (second line in the script)

does that mean we dont know how they will behave or is undefined behaviour a modding term for broken ... sorry for the noob questions ... cities is the first game ive ever tried to mod ... cheers for the help and great work on all of your great mods

Mixing Item classes causes undefined behavior.

is there a description of asset "item class" or a list of example buildings that use different AIs and item class ... ie whats the difference between a "garbage facility" and a "garbage pile" ... what happens if you give a "PowerPlantAI" the "Beutification Item" Item class.
