Vulture Light Gunship

Description
Designed as a light, cost-effective recon heli-gunship capable of exploring a planet or defending a fledgling colony, the Vulture only weighs in at 18 tonnes and is cheap to build.

It can be pilotted remotely, or has room for a pilot inside its well armoured cockpit.

Would be pilots should note this is a helicopter style design. To achieve directional thrust you need to pitch in the intended direction of travel and increase torque (vertical acceleration, spacebar by default?). Directional thrust is limited.

Features:
- x2 Fixed Gatlings
- External cameras to compensate for armoured cockpit.
- Standard connector.
- x1 Landing gear, plus auxillary thrusters for carrying loads (~30-40 tonnes @ 1g)
- Remote controllable
- Self-regulating air supply in partial/full atmosphere worlds.
- Decoy pods

Vulture? Nah; it's too adorable. Passeridae, perhaps. At any rate, I love it. It's been in my 'favourites' list for quite a while, but I apparently forgot to leave a comment until now.

Still even for about 3 years, one of my most used bp's. And still reliable

I've adopted this for my go-to ship for scavanging missions.
I added a solar panel to each side, and spotlights aimed foreward and below. It serves very well for my needs.

Thank you for sharing this design!

This Ship is great. Functional, effective, and cost efficient. Would love to see more of your ship designs.

@Ryuujin, maybe the SE devs will be nice and allow players to make their own player modles/animations at some point, technally already possible just not without manually modding the game. Then you could make an Avali race for SE :P

@Yuki: Yeah it was really way too much work to keep updating such a large mod with every itteration of Starbound, combined with the fact Chucklefish had decided to nix most the features I cared about and had been banking on being in later version. It was just the wrong platform.

@Ryuujin: Nice. I kinda stoped playing Starbound after not being able to use the Avali race anymore. I really missed them after an update broke the mod.

@Yukimaruzero: Yes ^^ (In fact the Leviathan, one of my other workshop creations was an attempt to try demonstrate their ship design aesthetic since people had very mixed ideas, and a 2D game is a poor platform to demonstrate my intention)

I know this is kinda random and off topic, but are you the guy who made the Avali race for starbound?
