Description
Vanilla Build - No mods needed

The Peregrine is designed to be able to transport resources to and from the surface of a planet.

She carries a mix of all 3 thruster types and is capable of operating efficiently in space or in the atmosphere of a planet.
She'll work safely on Earth and the Alien planet. Mars & any moons are a little more dicey since you won't get the benefit of the atmospheric thrusters she probably won't be able to operate there.

She flies well in space - not as quick as some ships (unless you turn on the hydrogen) because of the extra weight of the atmo thrusters. But she's perfectly flyable.
In atmosphere you'll want to be a little careful. Because the reverse and lateral thrust isn't very powerful in atmosphere she will tend to drift a bit when you turn. Also, try to keep her as level as you can.

She runs on 3 Batteries (enough power to get you to the surface and back with a fair bit of flying time to spare) and also has 2 small reactors as a backup power source.
She has 4 gyros and mounts the following thrusters:
forward: 2 large ion, 2 small ion, 2 small atmospheric, 2 large hydrogen.
reverse: 6 small ion, 2 small atmospheric
up: 2 large atmospheric, 4 small atmospheric, 8 small ion
down: 7 small ion
left/right 6 small ion

What this means is: She has a dry weight of just under 50,000kg, and should be able to safely land in 1g with a laden weight of 100,000kg (the alien planet is 1.1g so I don't recommend exceeding 90,000kg there)
I was able in testing to land her with a laden weight of 118,000kg... But that was a bit hairy and I had to use the hydrogen thrusters quite heavily to slow the descent. Go above 100,000kg at your own risk.
She's quite nimble when empty, and makes an adequate fighter in a pinch. But she's not going to outmaneuver much when she's all loaded up.

(the maximum load is more than enough to set up a small outpost on a planet for inventory sizes of x3 and above. x1 inventory may require you to make a few trips.)
Cargo capacity is 3 medium cargo containers, and the 3 connectors (see below)

She has 3 connectors: one underneath for docking (equipped with a camera & a spotlight), and one on each side (for manual access to the cargo)

She has 2 Hydrogen tanks, which is easily enough fuel to escape gravity. (you could probably fly her back up with a laden weight of about 80,000kg if you wanted to.)

She also carries an oxygen tank, and an oxygen generator. (this means you can hand-load ice into her and make more hydrogen if you have to).
And last but not least she also has the following equipped:
-Air intake
-Antenna
-Ore detector
-Remote control
-2 Gatling guns (just in case)

Planetary landing guide:

-Entry;
Get into the gravity well, line your nose up with the horizon, turn off your dampeners & relax.
You should turn your dampeners on at around 5,000m altitude.
Around about 2,000-3,000m you'll want to point the nose skyward and turn the hydrogen thrusters on. Get your speed down to about 40-50 m/s.
Once you've done that, turn the hydrogen thrusters off and re-align with the horizon. (you don't want to over-use the hydrogen on descent.)
If you haven't overloaded her, she should settle into a nice hover and can be flown around and landed just like a normal atmospheric ship.

-Exit;
Start out with your nose oriented on the horizon.
Accelerate using the upwards thrust, somewhere around 4,000-7,000m you'll start losing speed.
Any time around this point, feel free to point your nose to the sky, turn on the hydrogen thrusters, and start thrusting forwards instead of upwards.
Don't fire the hydrogen thrusters all the time. Turn your dampeners off and keep tapping W to keep your speed in the 95-105 m/s range.
Somewhere around 0.5-0.25g (depending on your load) you'll be able to turn off the hydrogen thrusters and start normal space flight.

Most importantly, Enjoy!

That is odd. Everything is connected so there should be no problem moving things around.

The gatlings are piped straight into the cockpit, and the cockpit goes to the conveyor network. The main cargo are in the wings, just behind the connectors.

I have just tested this to make sure, And I was able to load the guns from the side connectors and also from inside the cockpit.

The reactors are not piped internally though. Those you do have to load manually. I would have piped them up, but the small reactor only has one connection point, and I wanted to make sure the ship could be jump-started if needs be. (which meant you need direct external access to the reactors)

Sadly I'm not quite sure what is causing your problems with the conveyor system. Its possible it could be mod related (if you are using any), or it might be related to block ownership.

I'm sorry I couldn't be more help, but I am glad to hear that you and your grandson are enjoying the ship.

I love the ship but I am kind of new to this though I have some time in game, it has been broken up by hospital stays. Probably TMI but just trying to explain my question. With the connectors in place I thought I would be able to load the weapons from the cargo holds but I cannot access the cargo holds. I guess I could if I opened the ship up to find them but I have to be missing something here about how things work. When I get into the cockpit I cannot drop from my inventory into anything. I had to go outside to load the reactors and load the weaponry. Are they not connected internally? This is in no way a complaint!!!!! She is beautiful and I painted her my grandson's favorite color (4 soon) so he can hit the buttons for the cannons and guns to blow up various things I have placed around as if the base is being attacked. He loves knocking them out of the sky and the explosions! So thank you! Any help greatly appreciated. Nat.
