In this guide, I am going to showcase the location of five different Fusion Cores, excluding the one at the Museum of Freedom, you can grab within the first fifteen mintues of leaving Vault 111. This guide is intended for newer players, or those who are just running low on Fusion Cores.

Our first stop will be the a Mole Rat Den, located just behind the Red Rocket Station:

After entering, head straight down and you will enter a room with some mole rats. After killing them, take a right and then you will see the first fusion core, laying on the ground.

Our next stop is the Robotics Disposal Ground, where fusion core's two, three and four will be located. To get here from the Red Rocket Station, head north-east. Here's the location on the map:



After arriving, you may notice a Sentry Robot amongst the trash. Do not fear! As this Sentry Bot is active... yet. Head into the only room located at the area and you will find a terminal.

Interact with the terminal, and first select the option "play tape", then "activate sentry bot", and lastly "yes". Doing this will activate the Sentry Bot.

Now, re-interact with the terminal again. Select "play tape" again, however this time select "Initate Self Destruct" and then select "yes" again.

Shortly after this, the Sentry Bot will explode. So keep your distance! After the explosion occurs, head up to it's remains and grab fusion cores two and three.



Fusion core three is located right next to the Sentry Bot's remains, in a green chest. Grab that, and then we are on to our last fusion core.



Also, whilst you here feel free to grab the "Hot Rod: Red flames" magazine and the Fat Man. The magazine is located right next to the terminal inside. Whereas the Fat Man is behind the Sentry Bot on top of a destroyed car, if it's not there look around the back area as the explosion may launch it from there slightly!

Alrighty, our last stop is USAF Satellite Station Olivia, only a short walk from where we are currently. Again, here's the location on the map:

After entering, head straight down the stairs, be careful for the laser trip-mine near the bottom, and head through the room until you notice a T-section. Take a right and head down some more stairs. After this, take the first left. After this, you will see our last fusion core inside a generator. Whilst doing this, be careful of the Raiders. You can usually sneak past 'em to get to the core, but just be prepared to fight just in case.



After this, you're done! You should have plenty of Fusion Cores to last you early on.

So now that you have five Fusion Cores, you should be able to last for a guide while without fear of running out.
