Warriors - A Better Rewards and Treasure Mod

Better Rewards and Treasure Collection
13 items
Description
Gives you enchanted light armor and shields, and enchanted one-handed weapons and bows as loot and payment for quests!
So you're a warrior who always wears light armor and wields one-handed weapons. Why then are the quest rewards heavy armor and the boss chests filled with two-handed weapons you can't use? Because the game doesn't really care what armor and weapons you use. Well, the Sp0ckrates Workshop cares! This mod makes sure you get the armor and weapons your character needs.

Now when you receive armor and weapons as rewards, they will be light armor and one-handed weapons, or sometimes bows. In addition, when you loot chests after killing a dragon, giant, draugr death lord, or other boss, the battle will be worth it. For the weapons found will be one-handed or sometimes bows, and the armor will be light. The same will be true for enchanted armor and weapons looted or rewarded to you: They will be enchanted light armor and enchanted one-handed weapons, or sometimes bows.

But wait! There's more: The gold rewarded for completing quests is now increased by 20%! For example, if you would normally be paid 250 gold for completing a quest, you will now be paid 300 gold. It's a little bonus for your hard work, because you're worth it!

The mod does NOT change the weapons used and armor worn by NPCs. It just changes those found in the chests they guard. It also doesn't change armor and weapons sold by merchants and fences. It's a simple mod, but one I find useful. I hope you'll like it too! If you do, please consider rating it. If you have any questions about the mod, please ask. If you would like mods made for other classes, please let me know. Other mods in this collection are here:

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q. What will the mod do for me?
A. It will make it far more likely that your warrior character receives the armor and weapons he or she needs.

Q. What armor will the mod give me?
A. Enchanted and unenchanted light armor and shields.

Q. What weapons will the mod give me?
A. Enchanted and unenchanted one-handed war axes, swords, maces and bows.

Q. How will I get the armor and weapons?
A. You'll receive them as rewards given for completing quests and treasure looted from chests during quests.

Q. What armor and weapons will I not receive as rewards and not find as loot?
A. Enchanted and unenchanted heavy armor, daggers and two-handed war hammers, great swords and battle axes.

Q. Will the armor and weapons in shops change too?
A. No, the enchanted items sold by shopkeepers, blacksmiths and vendors will remain the same.

Q. What about the enchanted items received during Daedic quests?
A. These remain the same.

Q. What about other special enchanted items?
A. Named armor and weapons also remain unchanged.

Q. Why am I still finding some heavy armor and two-handed weapons in chests?
A. If you've already started a quest, the game might have already filled the chest. The chests for new quests should have the more useful armor and weapons.

Q. What will happen if I unsubscribe?
A. The rewards and loot for new quests will return to normal. You will often have an equal chance of getting one-handed weapons and heavy armor as you do of getting two-handed weapons and light armor.

CHANGING THE LOAD ORDER

So if you are subscribed to other BRAT mods that change loot and rewards, you should make sure this mod is last (at the bottom) of the load order in Skyrim. Changing the load order is easy. Just do this:
  1. When you start Skyrim, don't select Play right away.
  2. Wait for the Skyrim splash screen to display the message that all mods updated.
  3. Select Data Files.
  4. Select this mod.
  5. Use the down arrow button to move it to the bottom of the list of mods.
  6. Make sure it still has a checkmark next to it.
  7. Select OK and Play.

The game should now use the changes to rewards and treasure of the mod you moved to the bottom of the list. Good fighting!

Khuroo: My mistake. Yeah, no. It's supposed to say one-handed.

Not trying to hate, but, is the title card supposed to say "for light armor and two-handed weapons "? Just wondering because the picture has a one handed weapon and the description talks about one handed weapons. If you intended for it to be like that then sorry :steamfacepalm:.

For the Khajiit Unarmed bit, I say increase unarmed damage if not wearing gauntlets, by a useable bit each level, and give a mini-buff, like poison, every 5 levels, while in turn lessening your abilities with weapons (Bows, swords, daggers, staff, etc).

For the Magic Overhaul, Let the spells become more useful as used, exe the hundreth fireball you cast would be alot more effective than your first, and let Elements matter when actually building a character (learning Fire will not affect your ability to learn frost). Then follow this with a new manor of learning spells: meditation.
In addition to adding 25 total spells, Novice, Apprentice, Adept, Expert, and Master Meditation of Destruction, Restoration, Conjuration, Alteration, or Illusion:

The first time you cast a fireball, you don't know all about the arcane art of destruction, and likely will make a mistake. Volitile and Dangerous-(Tolfdir)- magic may hurt you, and healing spells may not do what they are ment to do. Instead of only prancing about yelliing Fireball! repeatedly and hoping you don't singe your eyebrows, Meditate, learn from an NPC, and THEN try your hand at fire, or whatever other element you mean to master. Spell Tomes will still teach you spells, but good luck casting something you've never touched before.
