Thieves and Assassins - A Better Rewards and Treasure Mod

In 1 collection by sp0ckrates
Better Rewards and Treasure Collection
13 items
Description
Gives you enchanted light armor, and enchanted daggers, bows and one-handed weapons as loot and payment for quests!
So you're a thief or assassin who always wears light armor and wields daggers, bows and one-handed weapons. So why do people keep trying to reward you with heavy armor and two-handed weapons? Well, this mod should keep that from happening.

Now when you receive armor and weapons as rewards, they will be fit for a thief or assassin. For they will be light armor, daggers, bows and one-handed weapons. In addition, when you loot chests after killing a target, the job will be worth it. For the weapons found will be daggers, bows or one-handed, and the armor will be light armor you can use. The same will be true for enchanted armor and weapons looted or rewarded to you: They will be enchanted light armor and enchanted daggers, bows or one-handed weapons.

But wait! There's more: The gold rewarded for completing quests is now increased by 20%! For example, if you would normally be paid 250 gold for completing a quest, you will now be paid 300 gold. It's a little bonus for your hard work, because you're worth it! In the next update I'll be adding more loot to pockets you pick and targets you assassinate.

The mod does NOT change the weapons used and armor worn by NPCs. It just changes those found in the chests they guard. It also doesn't change armor and weapons sold by merchants and fences. It's a simple mod, but one I find useful. I hope you'll like it too! If you do, please consider rating it. If you have any questions about the mod, please ask. If you would like mods made for other classes, please let me know. Other mods in this collection are here:

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q. What will the mod do for me?
A. It will make it far more likely that your thief, assassin or rogue character will get the armor and weapons he or she needs.

Q. What armor will the mod give me?
A. Enchanted and unenchanted light armor and light shields.

Q. What weapons will the mod give me?
A. Enchanted and unenchanted daggers, bows and one-handed swords, maces and war axes.

Q. How will I get the armor and weapons?
A. You'll receive them as rewards given for completing quests and treasure looted from chests during quests.

Q. What armor and weapons will I not receive as rewards and not find as loot?
A. Enchanted and unenchanted heavy armor, heavy shields and two-handed battle axes, great swords and war hammers.

Q. Will the armor and weapons in shops change too?
A. No, the enchanted items sold by shopkeepers, blacksmiths and vendors will remain the same.

Q. What about the enchanted items received during Daedic quests?
A. These remain the same.

Q. What about other special enchanted items?
A. Named armor and weapons also remain unchanged.

Q. Why am I still finding some heavy armor and two-handed weapons in chests?
A. If you've already started a quest, the game might have already filled the chest. The chests for new quests should have the more useful armor and weapons.

Q. What will happen if I unsubscribe?
A. The rewards and loot for new quests will return to normal. You will often have an equal chance of getting two-handed weapons and heavy armor as you do of getting daggers, bows, one-handed weapons and light armor.

So if you are subscribed to other BRAT mods that change loot and rewards, you should make sure this mod is last (at the bottom) of the load order in Skyrim. Changing the load order is easy. Just do this:
  1. When you start Skyrim, don't select Play right away.
  2. Wait for the Skyrim splash screen to display the message that all mods updated.
  3. Select Data Files.
  4. Select this mod.
  5. Use the down arrow button to move it to the bottom of the list of mods.
  6. Make sure it still has a checkmark next to it.
  7. Select OK and Play.
The game should now use the changes to rewards and treasure of the mod you moved to the bottom of the list. Good thieving and hunting!

Does the mod have to be at the very bottom of the list or just below all other BRAT mods?

Will this work in conjunture with your MAges BRAT mod, and if so which goes at the bottom? I am hoping to use both as I am playing a magic assassin, so I want the increased scroll/spellbook drops along with the increased assassin gear drops.

Does this mod chage the money reward for the extra jobs given by people like delvin or vex and what not? Only reason I ask is because if it does, then its not for mine. But, if I take the mod off it acts like items might be missing from the save which leads me to think that it is working. Any help on this would be great
