Urban Brook is a small capture the flag map set in an urban environment. Originailly designed to fit in with maps like ctf_turbine, it features.

1. A compact, yet breathable sense of space.

2. Routes to the intel that do not directly cross the spawn doors.

3. Unique detailing for each team (the map's layout is symmetrical).

4. Moving blimps

5. Vents, and much, much more.

Contributers ::
snood - the blimps
evil knevil, NassimO - the delivery van props

Urban. That so Awesome. That Remind me Mannhattan. Even Mannhattan Can't Have Twin Towers in 1972 in Team Fortress 2. That is Sad. :-( :steamsad:

A moderate update for the map is out.
Several visual bugs have been fixed including
- Some visible nodraws
- Prop alignment issues
- Obvious prop fades
- The fog not getting set when taking a certain route from blue spawn
I've also toned down the bloom a tad, built a new ceiling for blue lobby, cleared out the remaining props from the construction pack, and made some other minor changes.

Maybe, the map is a probably a little too small for passtime to work out though.

This would be a great Pass Time map as the pathways are (as you said) connected, meaning that the goals could easily be accessed. I think you should consider making that an available game mode for this.

I took alot into consideration when making the map. Turbine is the closest comparison layout/size wise, however it has several flaws. The biggest deal here is that the intel room is harder to defend (can't be protected by a single lone sentry), but the flag carrier is easier to catch. The map has many connected routes that are designed to make the chase and escape aspect of ctf as well as figuring out how to get past the enemy defences more interesting. Additionally, care was taken to make sure the spawns cannot be locked down by a single camper and mid can't be controlled by a single sniper.

What problems relating to the usual CTF game mode have you tried to address in your map design, if any?

Pretty solid imho.
