[EASY] How to get "FOXHOUND" codename and other codenames

So you want to get the Foxhound codename eh? Looking for an easy way? Well I've got one for you! Very quick, painless and simple that even the most loud, obnoxious and unstealthy player can do.

The requirements to achieve the "FOXHOUND" codename is to have successfully completed 3 missions with complete stealth and no kills. Meaning no alerts, no killing anyone and doing this 3 times in a row. Luckily we can complete the same mission 3 times in a row to achieve this goal. Note: It'll likely be fixed in the future so check the comments before attempting this. I'll come up with another guide if its fixed.

Requirements:
- Have mission 14 unlocked.

This is what you do. We do mission 14 3x times with perfect stealth. Since we know the location of where the Viscount will be. We will extract him 3 times in quick succession for our easy codename.

Step 1

1. Select mission 14 and deploy to the northern spawnpoint. Picture for reference.

2. For your loadout I recommend at least one way to incapacitate the guard that is guarding the viscount. In the picture below I've included several ways to incapacitate the guard. Remember, you NEED a SILENT weapon. You don't have to include so many weapons so just pick your (his) poison. You'll only need to be firing one bullet so to save on resources, use loadout 2 and 3, bring only 1 weapon and remove everything else. My personal favourite is using the stun baton on DD which means you can bring the bare minimum for these runs.

Step 3

3. This is the path you want to run. There are other paths probably quicker but you're not really on a time limit here. This one was very safe as you can sprint the entire way. You want to go left of the first prisoner and then north of him to the Viscount. The Viscount is located at marker B in this picture.

Step 4

4. Once you get to the hut where the Viscount and the guard is located. You'll need to take out the guard and extract the Viscount. So use your weapon of choice here. In the example below, I chose to use DD with stun baton.

OPTIONAL: You can call in the chopper before you do your dirty deeds to the guard to save time.

Step 5

5. Once you've extracted both the guard and the Viscount (this guard usually has good stats). You want to call the chopper nearby and extract. You could also run out of the mission area but I choose to call in the chopper once I send DD to attack.

Step 6

6. Repeat 2 more times for the "FOXHOUND" codename. The Foxhound codename will override any other codename so don't worry when your first and second run are "OCTOPUS", "BAT", "BEAR" etc.

Other Notes

In addition to getting "FOXHOUND", this is also a great way to farm other code names. For example:
"OCTOPUS" - Use a tranq gun to tranq the guard.
"BEAR" - Use CQC to take out the guard.
"PUMA" - Use hold-up to take out the guard.
"BAT" - Use D Dog to take out the guard. Make sure to use stun baton D Dog.
"OSTRITCH" - Use D-walker to take out the guard. Make sure to use non-lethal weapons.
"HAWK" - Use helicopter to take out the guard. I prefer sleeping gas.

(NOTE: THESE WILL RESET YOUR FOXHOUND RUNS IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO THIS. DO THIS ONLY AFTER YOU GET FOXHOUND).
"BEE" - Shoot the guard with a handgun.
"MANTIS" - Use knife to take out the guard.
"SCORPION" - Use submachine guns to take out the guard.
"PIRANHA" - Use shotgun to take out the guard.
"DOBERMAN" - Use assault rifles to take out the guard.
"RAVEN" - Use machinegun to take out the guard.
"WOLF" - Use sniper rifle to take out the guard.
"SHARK" - Use missile launcher to take out the guard. Rather dangerous with the prisoner nearby so try and lure him away before doing so.
"ORCA" - Use a grenade to take out the guard. Rather dangerous with the prisoner nearby so try and lure him away before doing so.
"TORTOISE" - Use a truck and run over the guard.

Just got this while replaying Mission 11 to re-unlock a certain sniper. Apparently fighting Quiet head-on still counts as a stealth run, and as long as you don't kill her at the end it counts for the codename.

Mission 25 is far more easier to do, and quicker since the area is relatively small and has very few child soldiers to deal with. All you have to do is run as fast as possible and complete the mission with the 4x4. That's it.

nah to get foxhound you need to do non-lethal and for fox you need to do lethal

I think they DID "fix" it, or I must have broken my game, because I keep getting the FOX codename.

I picked it up doing mission 5 three times but my question is, is there a point in getting foxhound for every mission? Does it get logged anywhere? All I see get logged is the letter rank (S, A, etc.) on the mission select screen, but is there anywhere else you can see it? Or do you get anything for acquiring the legendary rank on all missions where it’s possible?

i just tried to get the piranha codename.. completed the mission 3 times. and didnt work. Any ideas?

You can also just run to the targets location and ko the guard then fulton both of them, I like to run outside the boundary to reset it quicker.

isn't the fox emblem the exact same but it allows kills?
