These plants allow the protagonist to hallucinate or become different animals for a short period of time. During this period you have the ability to either fly, swim, or run around as animals such as dogs, birds or fishes. You can attack pedestrians and get heat on you, however when you die, the hallucination will end and you will wake up. Each peyote plant has a predetermined type of animal to spawn you as, but you will spawn as a randomly selected animal from that category. You will know when you are close to a peyote plant when you hear animal noises around you. There is no achievement for collecting all plants.You can end any hallucination by holding the E button.

As of September 15th, the Freemode Events Update included 2 achievements that are related to collecting Peyote Plants. The first of which is a hidden achievement.

• Cryptozoologist - Collect all plants and play as an animal in Director Mode

• Animal Love - Play as any animal in Director Mode

First off, I take no credit for finding this. All the hard work went to Xaymar, Lord Galehaut, walkeronline, Mozmachine, NIC779, Ganjatobi and the subreddit “/r/chiliadmystery” for unsolving yet another character for Director Mode.

Just like The Golden Peyote, you need to have 100% completion, collect all 27 plants as well as complete "The Last One" side mission. After meeting these criteria, these plants spawn on their respective days during the hours of 5:30 AM to 8:00 during snowy or foggy weather. Use the ~ and enter the cheat "makeitrain" to get the desired weather else it would not spawn.

AFTER COLLECTING FINAL PEYOTE: Press Ctrl to hear the Beast growl and use this to find other NPCs or animals who have been killed. The game has 9 events for you to find but number of bodies and the path you take is always random. Eventually it will take you to the last victim at Thomson Scrapyard where you will need to kill him in order for him to unlock in Director Mode.

You must meet certain criteria to unlock the sasquatch or wild actor for use in Director Mode. These are:

• Reach 100% Completion

• Complete "The Last One" (Strangers & Freaks mission)

• Collect all 27 plants

After meeting those criteria, head over to Raton Canyon

In order for the plant to show, it must be snowy weather on a Tuesday from the hours of 5:30 to 8:00 AM. To get the snow weather, hit the ~ and enter "makeitrain" until you get snow. Then eat the plant and the wild animal actor should unlock.

The first plant rests in a clearing near seaweeds and two giant rocks.

Near a tree just opposite an empty car park that is overlooking the south coast.

Just outside there is a wrecked bus and a forklift, the plant is beside the two.

In a park, this plant is sitting behind the batting cage near a tree.

Under the Del Perro Pier, this one is on a rock next to a post.

You will need a chopper to access the roof of the building, the plant is on a step.

This peyote is behind a house sitting on a porch in Mirror Park.

On a small island in the Pacific Ocean, the plant rests near 3 trees. You will need a boat or chopper.

On the top balcony of the Gentry Manor Hotel. You will need a chopper to reach this one.

In Vinewood Hills this plant is located near a huge rock.

Located outside a storm drain in Vinewood Hills

East of the Galileo Observatory Tunnel near the hiking trails picnic area.

On a big rock near the waterfall in Tongva Hills.

Look for a small sunken blue boat on a rock, the plant is just infront of it.

Southwest of the welcome sign near the farmhouse, the plant is near a tree.

This plant is located in a trailer park at the north end of the wind farm.

In the Grand Senora Desert beside 3 cacti, west of the dirt road.

Along a path in the valley of Mount Josiah, this peyote is by a bush.

Located in a clearing under rusted steel bars near a wreckage. Submarine/Diving gear needed

Near a tree beside a small lake. You can't miss it.

Northeastern side of Mount Chilliad this plant is located on the hill next to a small bush.

On the ground to the west of a park bench, the plant is beside the bushes.

Located under a natural archway, the plant is near some coral.

Beside two wooden posts, near some rocks on Mount Chilliad.

Ontop a tall rock formation in Raton Canyon, the plant is on the south east side.

Located in the Alamo Sea, the plant is in the northwest corner.

The last plant is located next to a bush near a wooden platform in Raton Canyon

When you enter a hallucination, you can hear dialogue from the protagonist that has them questioning what they really are and what they think about as each animal. Each protagonist has 54 dialogues and there are at least 2 different dialouges for each animal. These videos contain all dialogue that could be heard ingame.
