Modern Realism

Description
Improves the game experience at the modern Era

DLC compatible

[Game Changes]
-Nuclear weapons destroy everything within a radius of 3
-ICBM have been added
-The range and the power of ballistic missiles have been improved
-Nuclear fallouts make damage (but you have the time to clean the affected area)
-Nuclear weapons are more expensive
-Anti-tank units are a little more powerful
-Battleships are more powerful
-Helicopters, Mechs and X-Com squads are more expensive

[AI Changes]
-The custody and the use of nuclear weapons impacts diplomacy with other factions on a larger scale.
-Bots produce a little more antiaircraft units

I usually start in "King" difficulty with the French civilization (I made new colors for it)

Hello @m00n thank you for playing with my mod. Right ! In fact the term "realism" was rather to depict that some parts of the game were rebalance. To be honest I didn't realized what was the equivalent radius of 3 hexes in meters ingame. But I found interesting to make nuke access more difficult while improving its radius. It's more for the gameplay than for the realife equivalence.
You can reduce its radius changing one line of code in my mod using modbuddy. I can help you with that if you're interested.

For the record, these map hexes are large enough to contain a major metro area. The tsar bomba blast wave wouldnt make trenton new jersey let alone far enough away for another major city to plop without being the same city, like 3 civ hexes is supposed to represent. Insta kill for 20x the size of a major metro area is like HG Well's level of non-realism when it comes to nukes. He had the benefit of writing before nuclear science had discovered how to induce fission, what's your excuse?

@Tigger/Poohbear the file to load is only available on Steam and will download by himself when you subscribe to the mod. If you want to do it manually I need to put the file on a cloud somewhere on internet

@Captain_Chaos yes the nukes can raze a city! If the city is big and if the city has defensives buildings (walls, nuke bunker...) you need to send many nukes on it to destroy this city. But if the city is little and week one nuke can be enough to destroy it.

do the nukes insta-raze?
