W.A.S.P. Battlewagon

The Weapon And System Pod Battlewagon is a projector-enhanced standardized multirole support vehicle designed to be deployed from orbit for general planetside work. A single dorsal module mount loaded with multiple module-carrying Projectors allows a single base Battlewagon to fulfil roles from cargo transport to makeshift Battle Tank just by selecting the appropriate Module Projector and approaching any Welder setup you have available on a mothership or base. Modula removal while planet-side, however, requires a maglock crane of some kind to assist. The Battlewagon also comes with a full perimeter of spotlight cover to provide some warning before swarms of god-knows-what rip their way inside and kill everyone inside in the dead of night.

It can even drop straight from an orbital mothership if loaded with just a weapon pod and its own internal cargo containers, forgoing the need for a dropship in favour of rapid, and safe, deployment to combat zones below. The internal cabin is pressurized for comfortable travel on uninhabitable worlds with space for 9 passengers as well as the driver.

A dropship is, however, recommended for deploying a Battlewagon equipped with a fully-loaded Cargo Pallet or either of the construction Rigs due to the substantial mass increase.

Equipment Modules

Cargo Pallet - Two rows of Medium Cargo Containers for general transport between planetside bases.

Welding Rig - Dual-facing Welding Rig with cargo containers to assist in base construction. Vespene Gas and Overlords not included.

Grinding Rig - A general dismantling rig for reclaiming unused structures or crashed ships. Or ripping your way into the perimeter walls of someone else's fortress.

122mm Tank Cannon - Heavy Anti-Vehicle firepower to guard against ground assaults.

23mm Gatling Gun - Anti-Air/Infantry Gatling Gun for providing protection against air assaults or local wildlife.

50mm Tank Burst Cannon - Faster-firing anti-vehicle gun for those smart-ass little buggies and things that think they can hit-and-run your convoy.
