Description
The G08TX-043A Arclight class Cruiser is the first constructed 8th generation vessel in the Cerillian Alliance Fleet. Built to operate completely independently of other fleet ships, the Arclight is a Long range recon Cruiser.

Constructed from an incomplete G07EC-041C “Silver Lance” class Frigate and a stripped down CAP07-297C “Wolf-Fang” class Corvette, the “Arclight” is the newest and most evolved form of the BAXTON-type ships. Having a more complex structure than most Cerillian vessels, this ship is not built to be an active combatant, however it is able
to hold its own if required.

Being the first TX designated hull to be fitted with engine nacelles, the “Arclight” handles in quite a different manner to all of her predecessors. In addition to her unique engine configuration, the “Arclight” also has a more extensive and engineer-friendly Engineering section, as well as being capable of mounting a vastly superior weapons load out than most Cerillian ships.

The “Arclight” is a unique blend of old and new sub-system technology. Every door (excluding Hangar blast doors) on-board is completely button free, inclusive of both airlocks, allowing for rapid and easy navigation of the vessel. The down side of this ships sub-system complexity is that all redundant armour has been removed in favour of function, or power storing systems.

Having crew and cryo stations for 5 people on-board, the “Arclight” only has a small crew, however it is capable of supporting up to 3 small craft on its external landing platforms and its internal hangar. While not designed to be a carrier, it is fitted with a similar connector configuration as a G07TX-042F “Vigil” class Cruiser.

Despite still being Mil-spec, as part of the Cerillian civil paramilitary policy, most CAF surplus ships have been released for distribution. Although the civil variants are military models, the have a slightly different configuration.

hmm, my my mesage disappeared :/

The TX-43 line of ships have been replaced in function by the LCS-062-A "dayne"-class ships, as the Arclight was getting quite dated.

The Arclight was built to have more firepower than other CAF ships of that era (still with a heavy focus on point defense and gatling turrets), to have the ability to land fighters, to have superior engineering access (hence the ARCL Mk I reactor layout), have lighter armor and a smaller profile than the ships it functionally replaced (the antique "Rampancy"-class and "Darcy"-class), as well as being a test-case for a new thruster and reactor layout.

The Original Arclight was built from a scuttled G07EC-041C and CAP07-297C, it was built to be compatible with the then-standard docking arrangement that was used on CAF ships.

Do you have any sort of specs that places a certain ship into the Arclight category, I want to build a ship that fits the specs and requirements to be a proper arclight class if you dont can you make up some itll help with the lore lol

Hold on, i'll update this ship as-is for you, with the LCDs working :)

Ohh sounds like its going to be pretty legit, also so that means theres no way to 'revive' these lcds then ? I cant reallt write code good. I can do some Expression 2 in Garry's Mod. Its kinda like C++. No idea how to in SE though. I tryed loading the new LCDs script into it but i have no idea how to get the screens to show what they used to.

Also the newer version has a different bridge, and i'm toying with up-armoring the thrusters.

uhh, i can probably finish it in the next 1-2 days. I've been mostly focusing on building a new ship, NF-082. Also this version has the Arclight-Mk I reactor config...i have to rebuild the Mk IV, which i'm having some difficulty remembering XD (it had more engineering access and functionality)

The LCD's are still setup for the old Automatic LCD script, which is outdated. All the LCD's would need to be updated to use the newer version, as well as the "custom data".

How long untill its finished ? and how do you get the LCDs on this one to start working, they dont update the information on them.

thank you. This version is really dated XD

i had an updated version ready to release, but my old computer died, taking the ship with it.

I'm currently rebuilding the updated version :D
