If you want you can show your support and comment on the problem in the official forums thread I made. https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/please-let-us-alter-prop-m_maxrenderdistance-explanation-included.872635/

Wow, thanks for the quick response. Ive noticed other props disappearing too, but they were usually small and not a big deal. These are MUCH more noticeable when they disappear. I use your modular cargo lots with these and have made a few cargo 'parks' of my own using these in a very large cargo docks area in my current city. So when I view my docks from even a short distance, they all disappear and it annoys me ;) Hopefully CO will do as you suggest there. Thanks again.

Yup I know about that problem I've explained it over at the official forums and I got a response from a paradox employee who said he would let CO know if we could get the prop max distance to change currently you if you try changing the setting in mod tools it will reset to default making it impossible to adjust the render distance. This is the same with any container asset you download that uses props as containers. No way around it at the moment.

There is only one way and that would be to make them as individual parks as a building type, which would mean I would have to use super large textures just to make one map, Then I would have to do the same to carry over to the other parks but rearrange the containers a bit to get more variety. This would cause way too many large textures to have to load up in your ram.

So props are the best way because you only have to load the texture once. Lets see if the next update will fix the max render distance to props and let use choose what range we want things to disappear. Then we could have better airports as well without planes vanishing into empty parking lots as well.

Thank you for these. They look sooo much better than the plain ones that exist in the game and others have made. I dont really understand the whole LOD and 3D aspects of the props, etc, but I was wondering if their is any way to make these containers remain visible at a greater distance. The draw distance seems very short for the containers, and I end up with empty grey plots when viewing from a rather short distance. My gfx settings are maxed out, and I run at 2560x1440 (dont know if that matters). Anyway, just wondering if their is something I can do on my end to make these more visible. Thanks again for all the work you do for the CS community...cheers.

That's actually cause these are props that you need to use in the asset editor to make something with them. They are found in the benches category there. I just released 5 containers parks that you can use in game right now though without needing to make an asset first. You do need to subscribe to the props though. Here's a link to the first lot I made. Visit my Workshop to see all 5 parks. They all work together and are modular...

How do you palce them?

Sorry to those that have created a bunch of assets using these props. I have recently updated them to be shorter in length so that they function better as a modular system. Before containers would be too long and sit just past the grid lines making it very hard to make a good system that could be repeated when placing lots of parks next to each other. Now you can create truly modular parks with these props. Enjoy!
