Stockholm Appelviken RL5

In 1 collection by Ullstrumpan
Swedish architecture: Stockholm row/terraced houses
17 items
Description
***Updated: windows now light up at night!***

This house is based on the so called English Terraces in Äppelviken, Stockholm. I could never afford to buy one of these IRL so I made a tiny pixel version for my game instead. As always I used the excellent Building Eyedropper Tool by hyperdrive_engage to place the buildings rather than wait for them to grow in the right spot.

Updated with randomly appearing props and trees.

Now part of the Stockholm Row Houses Building Theme! Find it here: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=482273700&searchtext=stockholm

Stats:

Level 5, low density residential
Grows on 1x2, 1x3 and 1x4 lots

Main mesh: 1220 triangles
Custom lod: 93 triangles

Main texture: 1024x1024 px
Lod texture: 512x512 px

Definitely agree Ullstumpan, I find the square boxes in L4 and L5 absolutely atrocious to look at!

Let's just say that I don't agree with the CO notion that rich people all strive to live in flat roof, concrete and glass, modernist boxes :-) Round where I live it's typically the old, quaint houses that fetch the highest prices these days. That's why I started modelling in the first place - to introduce some variety in style to the level 5 segment. (I realise that levels are supposed to reflect density rather than wealth, but if you look at some of the CO residential buildings - especially within the European theme - that doesn't necessarily mean that buildings grow in size as they level up. They just get "nicer.")

Hmm, are you sure that this should be a L5 growable? I would classify it as L2 or L3.

@ Diskoturken: I'm mostly focusing on small growables, but if I decide to make a larger ploppable building I'll keep Skogskyrkogården in mind! The whole place really is spectacularly beautiful.

I would like to request the Skogskyrkogården creamatorium by Gunnar Asplund before it disappears! It really is a beautiful building from the pre-war era.
