Beluga-class Dreadnought - Gravity Cannon-equipped Warship

Description
A mid-sized starship with a single large-barrel gravity cannon, designed for general exploration or picking a fight. It lacks a full 360x360 firing arc, but can still bring something to bear on most angles of approach. Unlike the Avalon Battleship, the Beluga "merely" has a single Gravity-Propelled Cannon (and is a lot less chuggy on most systems). It makes up for it by being able to accelerate faster than a snail's pace and turn better. The forward weapons are a pair of 230mm cannons just to give you something to shoot yourself rather than leave everything to the turrets, along with a single Nuke launcher. 20 nukes are loaded onboard, so try not to waste them all on the one asteroid or ship.

The hangar bay has enough subcraft to keep the ship maintained or busy with freshly pillaged/salvaged resources, but lacks the facilities to repair or replace anything lost.

Subcraft

Flying Squirrel Type-C - A transport designed to lug the Drones and Bumblepods to-and-from jobs via FTL or just its oversized engines. Heavily armed with Reloadable Rocket Launchers and 4x Gatling Guns for those times that something doesn't understand just what belongs to whom. If you managed to crash it or bump into something a little too hard, there's a projector built in with a repair blueprint.

Aerospace Shuttle - A basic Ship-to-wherever shuttlecraft with a pressurized interior and twin cockpits. The belly is over-reinforced with armor so it can, theoretically, survive a planetary crash. Also has a projector for easy repairs.

BumbleWelder - A basic Welding pod.

BumbleGrinder - A basic Grinding Pod

Mining Spike - A Drone for semi-automated mining. Carry it to asteroids with the Flying Squirrel, deploy aimed at an asteroid's surface, and run "Start Auto-Mining". It'll bore through on its own and stop automatically if/when it pierces the other side.

Cargo Pod - A flying Cargo Container. Dock it to the Flying Squirrel and you have yourself a cargo transport. use it to ferry equipment, or leave it floating for the Pods to fill up and keep working while it's brought back for unloading.

Alert Status
Triggering a Code Red will activate all weapons and set the Interceptors (Anti-Missile Turrets) to target small ships as well as missiles and meteors. It'll also swap the lights for dramatic crimson mood lighting.

Code Green will deactivate the weapons and return the lights to normal.

Gravity Cannon Controls

Tab 2 of the main console in Command has the controls for the GPC, and controls loading each of the four ammo types as well as firing.

Button 1 - Yellow Tab (Armor). Solid-slug armor. It hits and goes thud.

Button 2 - Red-Tab (Explosive). A warhead and a container. Load the container with Explosives, and if you're very lucky an impact will trigger a much bigger boom than just the warhead on its own.

Button 3 - Black-Tab (Decoy. Five Decoy Blocks in a solid black Shell.

Button 4 - Green-Tab (Cargo Pod). Not a lethal weapon, instead a way to send supplies long distances (or theoretically down to planets). Set the Timer for however long you think it'll take and then fire. After the timer elapses, the onboard thrusters will activate and decelerate the pod. Blind-firing without doing so beforehand at friendlies is only recommended for express overnight delivery.

The Camera is set in the top of the Cannon's interior, to supervise GPC Shell assembly from elsewhere on the ship.

The Telescope is a gunsight set parallel with the GPC Shell inside the barrel. Use it to aim across long distances and make people's days miserable.

If you'd like to rip out the Gravity Cannon and use it on your own ship, it can be found seperately here as a blueprint.
