(BROKEN) A Planet Surface (v1) - Voxel Painted Planet Surface - w4stedspace

Description
A voxel painted flat asteroid measuring 1000m x 1000m made to resemble a planet surface with 4 biomes. Still a work in progress as there's more detail I'd like to add!

The world to accompany the attached video from my YouTube channel!
You can watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnFDi4pFCmI

--------------------------------------

DX11: Midspace is a legend and the latest update has fixed the textures, so the only part not dx11 compatible is the skybox (because I'm a noob - if anyone can help make me something suitable give me a shout!)

Thanks to Mispace for an excellent texture mod! http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=415832324

--------------------------------------

With the upcoming planets announcement and the competition running on my channel I made a 'fake' planet surface to show off peoples creations and give an idea of what Space Engineers could look like in the future.

Featuring a couple of cave networks, a glacier and 4 different biomes to explore.

Actually runs surprisingly well given it's size! Have tested on a tablet and still got 30fps.

Includes a custom skybox which does not have a bottom map, which means if you look directly below the 'planet' you will see a piece that doesn't fit. As it was intended to act as a planet backdrop I don't see this as an issue.

Skybox: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=458727657

Usage:

You can load it by going via the Workshop button in the main menu, finding the world and clicking 'Copy & Load'
Guide: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=188881143

BUILD STUFF, DRIVE STUFF, CRASH STUFF!

--------------------------------------

Gravity

1.0g Gravity is included. (Edited linear generator on the bottom of the asteroid, can easily be removed or replaced)

To use Natural Gravity place an asteroid around 10km below this one, add natural gravity to it using /ng create and set the radius to 99999 using /ng radius 99999 - this will approximate real gravity.

--------------------------------------

Mods Used:

Midspace's Earth Materials - http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=415832324
Sanchin's Cityscape
PlanetPlants
