Description

For those skilled, or lucky, enough to survive a tour on a Hawk, the Tiger is the next logical step. Its forward facing rocket launchers enact a vicious toll on enemy ships and it's speed and agility make it an excellent hunter killer. Groups of Tigers screaming past, unleashing volleys of hot death, before vanishing into the distance is a very real fear for enemies of the CEU. As always, speed comes at a cost, and the Tiger is no exception, with only the bridge covered by a thin layer of forward facing heavy armour. It's relative lack of multi directional weaponry can also lead to it becoming overwhelmed by multiple small craft. CEU Fleet Command notes the higher than average mortality rate among Tiger crew has done little to diminish the prevalent drinking habits.

Balance Notes

Strong Against: Corvettes (Solo), Frigates/Destroyers/Cruisers (in groups, ambush/flypast)

Weak Against: Bombers, Rated Warships (sustained battle)

(This ship would benefit from fixed cannons, still waiting for more vanilla guns!)

I try to make all my ships suitable for use in survival PvP and I'm trying to achieve some sort of balance between vessels to allow for multiple fleet builds, if you use my ships and find a good combination or a bug/problem, let me know.

I wrote the story on the collection page about my experience with this ship against a larger enemy and now that I read the whole description, I'm really stunned st how accurate it is.

Interesting, I hadn't thought of that. I was really looking for something a little bigger though.

You can now manually steer gatling turrets to face forwards, turn off their autoaiming feature, and manually shoot them via a menu group. It's a little ugly, but it allows large ships to have proper non-missile fixed guns.
