In the screenshots I'm playing as Germany.
You'll need to open spearman.fxsxml from your civ5 installation folder (look in Resource/Common to find fxsxml files), and also open gondor_spearman.fxsxml from the mod folder in Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/MODS/Gondor Unit Pack. You need to copy every line saying something about gondor_spearman from the gondor_spearman.fxsxml to the spearman.fxsxml and then overwrite gondor_spearman.fxsxml with the edited spearman.fxsxml. DO NOT save spearman.fxsxml over the original one as that will mess up your base civ5 game.
I know most of this must seem super-hard, but that's 3D modding for you. The simplest part, I mean.
It is possible to fairly easily remove that dependency on your end - if you like, I can add instructions on how to do that in the description.
I plan to at some point, but at the moment I'm working mainly on historical units and Warhammer units.
