Boulder City

Description
Boulder City, Nevada. Also home of the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Map was imported using terrain.party (@36x36km) and is incredibly accurate and equally beautiful.

I have extended some of the highways, added a rail line, and a sea connection in Lake Mead (just for people that might want a sea connection somewhere) for added functionality. There is ore and oil on the map, but no fertile land. I believe you should be able to dam the Colorado River and make Lake Mead even deeper, but as of now have not tested it.

Also the Saguaro Cactus would fit nicely in this map, though sorry it isn't painted on anywhere.

You will of course need a very good computer to build this to the maximum.

Thank you very much for your input! Yes I found the placement of the Dam and overall gameplay pretty challenging myself. I'll consider your changes if and when I update the map or make another version :)

I am playing with this map and I'm finding it hard. I like the challenge, mind you.

Pros:

- Uneven terrain provides challenge to planning.
- Plenty of industry.
- My Hoover Dam was hard to place, but I finally found the right spot, just after the waterfall you placed where the dam should be. Well made!

Cons:

- Highway connections are too scarce. Just two, and getting to one means buying two extra areas.
- Forget about train connection, it's not gonna happen until you unlock all tiles or cheat. The train tracks are too far away. Try making them get closer to the starting tile so that getting goods and cargo imported doesn't clog my highways.

Nothing else for now. Nice map, but take the train track closer to the second or third tiles in the future.
