DOUBLE WARNING: THIS MAP IS BUILT SPECIFICALLY FOR THE GAMEMODE "SLAVE OF GMOD". THIS MEANS THAT THE WALLS AND CEILING ARE ALL DEV TEXTURES, PROPS FLOAT, ETC IN ANY GAMEMODE OTHER THAN SOG.

This map is fully armed and operational for every gamemode Slave of Gmod has to offer currently. As new gamemodes are added, the map will be edited to suit those game types. As is, the map is armed for:

-Axecution
-Random Deathmatch
-Serious Drama.

Oxy is my fourth map. I took a different approach to this one, as far as lighting goes. As much as like a like the wild color scheme of the other maps, I went ahead and made lights either shades of orange or blue. This way, the lighting has a unified feel, and lights up the map very well. While the wild lighting looks good in other maps, its not as useful for gameplay because its hard to see players in areas that are inevitably left dark.

Like Siege, this map more prominently features 'height differences'. You can shoot from one level to another, but you'll find you cant move between levels without takng stairs. It takes place in a generic office-like building, that is being engulfed in fire as minges raid the server. Attackers arrive in a van smashed through the backdoors, and the defenders arrive in a hub room between the two server locatons. In this regard, the map is built like a standard CSS map, with attackers taking longer paths to the servers/money printers, while defenders try to cut them off or defend important locations.

Oxy is about 3k * 3k units, making it just a bit smaller than sog_office. It's made to be fairly clear where you should go, but something things like railings may not be as obvous as I like. There is also a door you can shoot through and throw things through, but you cannot move through it. While all of that is intended, it may not be the most obvious thing.

There are 20 spawns for each side, and some unknown number of basic deathmatch spawns. Weapons should be plentiful, but prop weapons are rare. I've never liked using them in my maps for some reason. So far, the map seems best played on Axecution, but my playtesting is quite limited.

Yea, I'm aware of this. I just haven't gotten around to fixing the navmesh so bots don't spawn behind the doors. Rest assured, it will be fixed someday soon. Until then, this will remain one of the few maps of mine without nemesis in the list of supported gamemodes.

I'll see if I can get a new nav out on sunday.

This map needs optimizing for the new Nemesis gametype. As of right now, the enemies get stuck behind player clips in the lefthand area.
