The Manta was designed to be a heavily armored carrier that can protect and support its craft even in the heat of battle. Although it has a relatively low fighter count for other carriers of its size, its focus on armored hangars ensures that unused craft are well protected, and that pilots will be given enough time to scramble their fighters before they are destroyed.

In battle, the Manta serves in a support role for its own fighters. Where the fighters it deploys compensate for its lack of speed and manueverability, the Manta pays them back with a large amount of Anti-Air firepower. In combination, these two elements play together to give enemies a hard choice of whether to attack fighters or the durable carrier itself. Ultimately, this further serves the Manta's true purpose in fleets, which is to distract as a tank, allowing other destroyers and cruisers to do their job.

---------------------------------------------------

All hangars are numbered - evens on the starboard side, odds on the port side, with lowest numbers closest to the center and higher numbers closest to the bow. The numbers are also visible both inside and outside the hangar doors.

In the control panel, you will find groups for each of the hangar doors. Simply reverse the pistons to open or close the hangar doors

IMPORTANT: DO NOT operate pistons individually! Each door consists of 2 pistons, and both must be moved at the exact same time using the control groups or the doors will become separated and stuck.

I have not experienced damage in flight; however, if you wish to spare yourself the extreme annoyance of hearing banging metal, keep the doors down while moving.

------------------------------------------------------

Like the Kestrel II, I have color-coded several doors to help you navigate the ship

Red - Engineering
Orange - Assembler/Refineries
Blue - Bridge (in this case the blue door leads to the main corridor, which leads to the bridge)
Dark Blue - Officer Quarters
Dark Green - Gunnery Stations
Light Green - Crew Quarters/Facilities
Purple - Medical

Thanks! Will try this

It is most likely giving you that error because the Azimuth Cockpit is no longer on the WS. Remove it from the mod list before loading the world, and replace it with this one.

Note, however, that some of these mods are DX9 only, so it won't work properly in current SE.

This was created before the oxygen update. As i have a large fleet, it is far too troublesome to keep updating each of my ships each time something new comes out. Instead, I move forward onto new generations of ships.

As Agnar said, it is in hopes that such a change is made. regardless, i find it more realistic to do so, and it adds to the engineering element of things

They can't, he's trying to future proof assuming they ever can. Even if they need a special conveyor block, he has the space saved to do so.
