Cerberus - Self-Repairing

Welcome my Cosmic Comrades,

Today I present to you the Cerberus, the latest engineering endeavor from Boz Corp. This is the first dedicated gunship Boz Corp. has developed.

Here at Boz Corp. we recognized the need for a medium sized defensive craft to defend our interstellar interests and hunt down those who would interfere or impede our progress.

The Cerberus is designed to function with a small crew of two or three. The ship has welders strategically placed throughout the frame in order to keep vital systems and components repaired, and in conjunction with the projectors can replace lost armor and components. This feature gives the Cerberus enhanced survivability while allowing the crew to remain safely within the cabin while performing repairs. A small remote welder drone is docked under the rear landing pad and can be used to remotely perform additional repairs or salvage operations in the field.

The Cerberus has been updated to support oxygen. The two pilot seats are small cockpits with their own oxygen lines in case of a hull breach during combat. Below the pilot seats are cryo pods for the two crew members and a med bay. Two refineries and arc furnaces provide the Cerberus with adequate refining capabilities and eighteen assemblers are ready to meet the component needs of the ships welders. Power is provided from a number of small reactors and batteries spread throughout the ship. Four solar panels located underneath the ship can generate enough power to keep all vital systems running indefinitely. Two programmable blocks and two timer blocks are in place to meet your scripting needs.

This ship meets Keens Exploration requirements.

Oh and a Saints Row color scheme! (purple/black/gold)

This is what is what I would sujest admins or moderators use when moderating, as it's quick, a little imtimidating, and durable. The only thing someone could want with this is a working hydrogen thruster system that will last!

that moment when you see "Self-Repairing" and instantly you get the know how of how that works and all you can say is "ohh...that is smart"

Useful! All ships in space should have this. especially the holo armor! (projector if lost armor)

why is it so common to do this whole "point defense system" out of interior turrets? u have to load them manually and having them clustered around the outside of your ship just seems tedious to me. not to mention limited ammo means a time limit on your point defense. i contest a persistant foe thats well stocked will simply win that battle through attrition.

Hello, you engineers. And I want to present you one of my ships.
I tried to create a vehicle that is not too bulky, but it will be fully functional and efficient in survival mode. At the same time it had to be protected as much as possible from external influence. A kind of fortress for space exploration on any server built on the principle of "NO MODS". I want to just thank one of the authors: "Boz" his ship "Cerberus" gave me the number of ideas to create this frigate.
"Black Phoenix" - a heavy multi-purpose frigate that combines high functionality, firepower of security and survivability....

Cool!

Yes, I set them to target missiles and played with the range a bit. Ultimately, I feel like the complications and component cost associated with numerous interior turrets used to construct a point defense system is more of a hassle than it’s worth. Just trying to keep that many interior turrets stocked with ammo is a pain. I developed a second version of this ship with deployable decoys which will be released once Keen can fix some strange bug that was created when I tried to save it as a blueprint.

Did you set the interior turrets to target missiles? And try increasing the weapons range. On my ships I tend to go over board on interior turrets.
