Mission
PMC Versus operators and Viper will ambush the enemy reinforcement convoy and neutralize the immediate enemy response before leaving the AO.

Situation
August 25th, 2003: two weeks ago the NATO forces and PMC Versus broke through on the eastern flank and seized the area north the town of Protvino. The railroad was damaged in the assault and the NATO forces have been unable to bring any supplies to fortify their positions. At the same time, the СРГА forces are pouring troops and armor from Kovrov to Protvino.

The NATO local high command (callsign Red Crown) wants this to stop. PMC Versus operators (callsign November) and a fireteam of NATO spec ops (callsign Viper) have been observing enemy movements behind enemy lines for four days. The opportunity has presented itself and we believe that the enemy is bringing in more troops tonight.

November and Viper are to ambush the reinforcement convoy and the immediate response from the nearby garrison before leaving the AO for Berezniki. November will be on point in this operation and Viper will neutralize any stray elements of the convoy if they manage to slip through the initial ambush.

Commission for this operation is 20,000 dollars.

Enemy
Viper and November have noted that the СРГА convoys to Protvino usually consist of three to four alpha victors and a pair of soft vehicles. November has been equipped with mines and satchel charges to inflict maximum casualties on the initial contact.

Red Crown believes that the nearby garrison will dispatch search and destroy -patrols of foot mobiles to eliminate the ambushers. Contrary to SOP, November will not leave the area immediately after the destruction of the convoy but ambush the response also. This will further weaken the СРГА forces in the area.

November and Viper have been equipped with modern СРГА weapons while operating behind enemy lines for this long to provide them with compatible ammo and to confuse the enemy with distinctly familiar sounds of gunfire.
