USA Armor Units List
By Tujev
This is a complete guide for USA armor. It's taken directly from in-game screenshots and its meant to be used either along with coffee to ponder your strategic choices, or in game while shift+tabed into steam overlay for quick information on opponents armor in order to counter it.

You can find links to other nations in the footer of this guide. I welcome a healthy discussion on which units are the most bang for the buck, as well as general USA armor discussion in comments bellow. Have a good war!

20 Pershings were sent to ETO, only 2 "Supers" one of which was lost.

M4 was an exceptional tank, and served well in Korea (And elsewhere) after. The Pershing had issues considered too troublesome to deal with, hence the Army and Marine Corps ditched it in favor of the M4, as well as M46 / M47 Patton in Korea, followed by the M48 later.

M26 had a very short service life, and it's really telling that her "Parent" the M4 outlasted her in frontline service.

uh not fully true 1945 pershings were seeing mas deployment with the super pershing reportedly killing a king tiger, so for the U.S. these tanks make sense as they all say service and were very effective

although the super pershing is just the M26 with slightly more range and can suck up a little bit more damage

in conclusion, very powerful heavy tanks, and simmiliary to the soviet union have tanks from future which were mostly not used in WW2, for the soviets it was the IS-3 and here it are the pershing tanks, very very powerfull ones

would it be possible to add sections showing the best weak points and areas to shoot each tank?

Death traps was a terrible book and the sherman actually was fine

Sherman tanks, also known as "Tommy Cookers" were notorious for "brewing up" when hit more than any other tank in the war, i think due to where the ammunition was stored in the tank. My grandfather was a crew member one of these (actually a Sherman DD - or Duplex Drive) at Sword Beach and I grew up hearing stories about the above shortcomings.

Odd description for the Sherman, considering at its debut it had quite good frontal armor and armament. Only comparing it to far more expensive tanks like the Tiger and Panther could one argue that it "couldn't compete" and yeah, no shit. An M5 Stuart also can't compete with a PzIV. Is it really surprising that a tank can't punch above its weight class?

Compared to the PzIV and T34, tanks far more comparable in cost and function, the Sherman is not only adequate but excellent. Best frontal armor, good gun, and better ergonomics too.

I know you didn't make this but I can't help but say something. I'm glad the "death trap" myth is starting to die off.
