Version: 01.117
Model Sizes: 0kb
Texture Sizes: 20kb

Description

Made by popular request as an alternative to my own 'Interior Floor' mod, this will replace the default Interior Wall model with a simpler cube using the 'top' texture on 5 sides and the 'bottom' texture on the 6th.

Due to the nature of how this works, adding this mod to a world will replace all current and future interior walls with this version, however should you ever remove the mod they will all simply revert to being the default version - no errors, no changing things.

Author Notes

Many of us use this texture for flooring, but every single Interior Wall block placed uses an enormous 2608 Triangles due to the complex shape of the sides (which serve no purpose as part of the floor). This part cuts that down to a mere 32 Triangles improving overall performance.

It should be noted than since this was released, changes to the game make hidden geometry much less problematic and in most circumstances this mod will not provided a great benefit any longer. On trying to take it down, I did get requests for its return however and have decicded to leave it online.

All modelling and texturing is 100% stock and will automatically update if the developers ever change them

Hey Tristavius i added you to friends, got a request/suggestion for a block like this. Shouldnt take you too long to make either.

Of course - you're clearly busy! :)

That's a possibility; I'll have a look see if I can do anything, give me some time :)

Any chance of making a set of "armored" (hidden) conveyors with this type of styling? This would be wonderful for keeping my ships looking nice AND keeping poly counts down.

Confirmed mod is compatible as-is with DX11.

Indeed there is Tiger :)

Is my full collecton and includes 'TVSI-Tech Interior Floor' which is a stand alone version of this which does not replace the stock part :)

Is there a version that does not replace the original? I love the mod that adds a block that has the top surface (no lights) on all sides; great for lowering polycounts, since I'm not a fan of the uncontrollable lines imposed on light armor blocks. But there are some instances when I would prefer to have the little lights, without the high-poly sides.

I would subscribe if this didn't replace the original interior wall.

LOVE IT TY. !!!

Okay no problem, I'll try it in some older worlds see if I can figure out what's going on :) Apologies for the problems!

Interestingly, resetting the block ownership of the world made it work. I don't know how or why, but now it works.
