Nightmare (Atmosfear) 1991 VHS Edition

Description
Nightmare is a horror video board game released in 1991 by A Couple 'A Cowboys and J. W. Spear & Sons as part of the Atmosfear series. The game is set in a place known as "The Other Side". This place has six Harbingers, each of whom has authority over a Province. To play the game, each player adopts the persona of one of the Harbingers:
  • Gevaudan The Werewolf
  • Hellin The Poltergeist
  • Khufu The Mummy
  • Baron Samedi The Zombie
  • Anne de Chantraine The Witch
  • Elizabeth Bathory The Vampire
The final character in the game is The Gatekeeper, whose job is to ensure that the other characters do not escape from The Other Side.

The game requires players to attempt to collect keys while trying to beat the clock included on the video. At random intervals, the game stops and The Gatekeeper appears to either taunt, reward, or penalize the players in a variety of ways. Prior to beginning the game, the players are required to write their "greatest fear" on individual slips of paper. The game is won by collecting six special keys before making it to the center of the game board where the player draws a 'fear'. If that player draws someone else's fear, the tape is stopped and that player is declared the winner. If no one is able to accomplish this within 60 minutes, The Gatekeeper is declared the winner.

Important Information. Please Read before trying to play:

This game has to be played with a group of friends using a voice chat program such as Teamspeak, Ventrilo, or Skype. Anything that allows all those playing be able to hear each other.

To play Nightmare you need a website that syncs up videos to play amongst a group of watchers; such as, cytu.be, Sync Video, Watch2gether, etc. The reason for this is that to play Nightmare, you must start this video when you are ready to start playing:

Update: You can now use the in game tablet to play this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uchUe52-j74

For Example on Cytu.be; you make a room (Name of your own choosing) and then link the room you've made to your friends. Make yourself the leader by right clicking your name in chat, click on the Plus sign to add a video from a URL, add the YouTube link, and pause the video until you are ready to begin.

Current Issues
  • Elizabeth Bathory's name is spelled Elisabeth Bathory on custom key card, though this error exists on the actual board game key card and player piece. Unsure whether to fix or keep the error; as the original board game has it.
  • Chance Cards are upside down when holding Alt to zoom in.
  • Key cards are sideways when holding alt to zoom in

@Vayneofhate Due to Dropbox removing the public folder. I've been looking into alternatives to upload the images/obj. files. Sadly this also means I have to completely redo the game board and individual pieces again. I'll be fixing this and the sequel ASAP
