(OUTDATED) Speed Mod 421-368

Description
OUTDATED! I haven't touched this mod in years and don't plan to rework it.

EDIT: I don't know how the new DX 11 Update will effect this mod, so I'm going to wait a few days to work on it if it needs changed. Let me know if you have problems with it.

[NOTICE] It appears that if you have any other mod that changes the environment.sbc file higher in the list than this file, it won't work. very much like if you have two skybox mods in your list it only takes the top one. move it to the top of your mods list and it will work.

This is a quick and conservative speed mod. I set the values at 400 for small ships (421 m/s) and 350 for large ships (368 m/s) My idea with this mod was to be used on servers without causeing major performance issues but still give a nice speed boost.

I placed small ship speeds faster then large ship so that scouts and intercepters could run down larger ships as well as making it so that player made missiles and torpedos could be made with the ability to run down a large ship.

I could have gone faster but I was trying to keep performance, gameplay, and fun in mind when I set my speeds.

If you have any problems or issues with this mod please let me know in the comments below.

Note: On testing I discovered that large ships (in my test the red ship) when colliding with an asteroid at max speed caused pretty noticable lage and the ship partially clipped into the asteroid. So be careful with these new speeds.

If you'd like to use my Black Fog and Speed Mod at the same time then here is the link to the combined mods:

I was useing S-Modular Thruster. soo thanks for the feedback I am glad you tested it.

I will test it today and see if it still in as issue.

I tested it in an otherwise vanilla world and it worked fine using Atmospheric thrusters and/or Hydrogen thrusters, but when you only us the Ion thrusters (original space thrusters) then no, it won't hold itself with my mod or without it, those thrusters don't work well in atmosphere. Unless I've missed one then all the modular thruster mods I've seen are based off of the Ion thrusters and not the Atmospheric or Hydrogen. They are normally more powerfull then the vanilla thrusters but still not powerful enough to easily hold up a ship on a planet.

TLDR: My mod appears to work fine, I think your just using the wrong type of thusters for ships on a planetary surface.

I'll test it soon and see if I get the same result

OK Say if your Ship is a plane grid, and flat right. Then you Cover the entire bottom of the plane with Module Thrust'ers. Yet it still falls slowly down like a leaf on the wind. I think I may have discovered. a bug. even discovered that Anti Grave Sanchin Thrust'ers combined with Module Thrust'ers. :steamsad::steammocking:

Odd, I'll look into it. Worked on my end in single player test.
