I was in need of a mining ship with bigger capacity and the ability to dig straight cuts with. This is the design I came up with for now. Surely it may not be the most optimal design, but it gets the job done.

The connector that's attached to a piston on the rear seems to be a bit fragile, so I advice you to not do any fancy manouvers while it's extended.
