Beskrivelse

- New 1.3.4 Update has been released: More information on our website![divideetimperamod.com]

Please consider donating to support the mod[divideetimperamod.com], thanks!

Make sure you load the 3 mod parts in the correct order - Part 1 goes above the others in the mod launcher.

Divide et Impera is a total overhaul of Rome 2 that seeks to provide a challenging, historically authentic, realistic experience of the ancient world and warfare. Divide et Impera was named CA's best Overhaul Mod 2014, CA's Most Innovative for 2015 and also won Player's Choice in both 2014 and 2015. We have continued developing and updating over the entire course of Rome 2's life. Thanks to all of our players for your support!

As a complete overhaul of the game, there are thousands of new and changed features, units and unique systems that create a specific and specialized experience for the player. For that reason, most mods are not compatible with DeI and we recommend you try the mod out by itself before adding other submods.

- Overhauled Battle System from the ground up with new mechanics, better AI and more realistic combat.
- Over 3000 new units for 45+ playable factions including an Area of Recruitment system.
- A Unique and Customized Population System that adds depth and strategy to recruitment.
- A Supply System that requires logistical planning.
- A Specialized Reform system based on various triggers for different factions.
- Special Cultural and Factional systems that make each faction feel unique.
- New and Customized Economy and Hundreds of New Buildings
- Character Systems with various RPG elements and special traits
- Much, much, much, much more!

- Do not use any TPY mods or other startpos mods with DeI. Do not use any camera or scripting mods with DeI.
- Most mods (other than graphics mods) will not be compatible with DeI. Various submods are available to help alter the mod experience to the player's taste. They can be found at our Submod Forum[www.twcenter.net] or Steam Submod Collection
- It is recommended to play the mod on Normal Difficulty for balanced CAI aggression/diplomacy. Battle difficulty should always be set to Normal to maintain the mod's battle balance. Experienced players may enjoy Hard with battles set to Normal.

You must have all Parts of the Mod:
Divide et Impera Steam Collection

If you are experiencing crashes at startup or regularly in game play:
1. Check for other mods activated or just in your data folder. Some mods can be active even without activating them in Mod Manager. DeI does not work with most other mods.
2. Reverify your game cache in steam.
3. If that doesn't work, try deleting your CA Appdata folder and reverifying.
4. Lastly, if none of that works, try deleting and unsubscribing from part 1 and then resubscribing.

An alternative version of the mod can be found at our website[divideetimperamod.com]. The standalone version is quicker to download and usually has less issues.

AI in Rome 2 is coded to always recruit max amount of units it can, even if it means it will nuke income down to 1 denarii per turn.

Unless you play on Hard/Very Hard, it does not get recruitment slot bonus so it cant spam stacks as much.

The issue in TW games is that early game is hard but mid/late game is just a steamroll. What we did is to make AI somewhat put up a fight even by mid/late game.

At first it might seem hard but once you learn how to play the mod, you will be looking for submods to make the mod even harder.

Also just to note, Rome 2 AI does not understand it has income, public order or food to manage.

As for attrition, if your units suffer attrition from supplies and AI has its units in same province, it will also suffer attrition. In AI only controlled regions, they get some bonus to it, since AI would not know how to manage it (just like mentioned food, income or PO, which are base game concepts).

game feels unfair and even if im all for a challenging game, i play games because i want to feel that im not getting shafted turn after turn IDK I havent raged quit yet but im close

I have to agree with ominous , i dont see the enemy attrition .... example i have a province that has 4 stacks of an AI army that im not at war with but my general with six units gets attrition due to foraging and supplies too low but AI army with 4 stacks (thats 80 units) doesnt , and the AI cities support rediculous amounts of troops .... how can a 1 barbarian county keep sending stack after stack ....

It gets easier BUT you may want to try our official Alternative Campagin Submod, it basically makes start a bit easier on the player and just adds difficulty as you grow.

AI does get attrition, for armies in region is out of supplies, during sieges too, as long as its not a port city (in which case you need to block it with a fleet too, same other way around if your port city is besieged).

As for garrisons, if you see it instantly recover, its because AI finished building something that changes garrison units. Game is unable to keep track of garrison units so if building that changes then completes, game just resets all gar units to full strength, same for player.

The mod is hard...to say the least. There's a fine line between challenging and unfair and at this point might as well make the AI always spawn with a full stack of late game army on game start.

Definitely not for an entry level player like me, the fact that AI never get attrition even on normal and AI settlement garrison actually recover vs Player settlement not recovering in less than 5 turns is tiring. Population system and public order management are manageable but when AI raids your region food instantly becomes minus in double digits and rebellion happens in 2/3 turns. Managing kingdom and loyalty is fun at first but when you made a mistake in diplomacy/declaring war suddenly everyone fights you and then not long after civil war happen.

You would have to remove all reforms and then re-add all units to buildings and tech tree.

Is there anyway i can remove the unit upgrade requirements from Turn 50, Imperium 3 and 120, imperium 5? I want to be able to upgrade whenever i want basiclly as long as i have the building and tech for it.

kam, I retried it and it worked. It must have been a bug or something, because initially it didn't appear in Iplacea. I demolished the trader and rebuilt it and the healer appeared as an option. Strange.

Vladdy Daddy, I was able to build Healer in Numantia, which is not a port city.
