A weapon caught in a permanent scan.
This finish uses a fully hand-painted, seamless pattern built around a futuristic scanning line, grids and tiny HUD-style icons. The design is inspired by the matchmaking scanning animation in the game, so the pattern feels like a natural extension of the existing UI rather than something random.



Because this is a Spray-Paint style finish, every drop gets its own unique layout. The scanning line can slide anywhere along the weapon, and vertical offsets reveal different clusters of icons drawn on the pattern by hand. Even with the same finish, no two weapons will look exactly alike.



To build this skin, I created a custom Substance Painter tool that replicates how Spray-Paint projection in CS works — including scale, rotation and pivot behavior — so the pattern behaves in Painter the same way it does in the game. After I finish polishing and testing it, I plan to share this tool with other Workshop creators to make designing Spray-Paint finishes more accurate and convenient.
