Introduction
Since the 10th year update (Aniversary update) is available, a lot of players have rejoined the game to check out the new content.
Even after the update, the old problems are still here and some are saying is even worst (breaking mods, visuals, gameplay etc).

We have 3 steps that will solve our problems:

Step 1
First we need to edit a .ini file of the game which is the Fallout4Prefs.
The easiest way to find it is by going to:
- C:\Users\YourName\Documents\My Games\Fallout4
OR
- D:\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Fallout4\Fallout4
depending where you set up your game files, for me it was the second option.

- After finding the file we will edit the "iPresentInterval=1" to "iPresentInterval=0" if is not allready set to "0"
the easiest way to find it is by using the keyboard command "CTRL" + "F" and then text "ipresent".

Step 2
The second step is to set the game max fps to 120 (I didn't try more than this, but I think is enough and definitely better than 60).
To do this we will go to:
- Nvidia app->Graphics->Fallout 4->scroll all the way down until "Max Frame Rate" and set it to 120.
OR
- Nvidia Control Panel->Manage 3D Settings->Fallout4->scroll all the way down until "Max Frame Rate" and set it to 120.

Step 3
Least, but not last, the third step that will set you up before joining the game.
We need to open the game from any launcher (Bethesda/Steam etc.) and choose "Options" -> "Advanced" -> set: "Godrays Quality" to LOW and "Weapon Debris" to OFF. Both are factors that cause crashes.

Enjoy !
After following all these steps, you should be good to go.
Don't forget to leave a like and a comment if it worked!

Firefly.ID, this tutorial is for the people that want to acomplish achievements while playing. I know mods are better at solving problems, but personally I like to farm achievements like other people.

Un1corn, mate. It still crashes after start the launcher. It seems shorty Todd has cursed me. I even completely deleted all the FO4 folders with ini files in Docs and AppData/Local. That used to work, but now even that doesn't help. Maybe a registry cleanup is needed. But this is the first time I can remember a complete reinstall of vanilla failing to work. ♥♥♥♥ it, already. Few nice games awaits me right now.

Anyway, thanks for the guide, buddy. I see it really helped a lot of people.

This is insanity, as Vaas once said. But I'll try again, OK.

Un1corn, mate. I'm so tired of reinstalling this crap. The next time I try to play, it crashes. The only thing that helps is reinstalling. I'm so tired, boss.
