Driving ideas for Motorsport.

I go into a few things I use myself in this guide. Some may find it helpful but it can explain my driving style a little better in detail when playing Forza Motorsport :)

So here what you need to know about overtaking.
You start from the bottom and you see a sea of cars infront of you. You wanna overtake them cleanly but when is the right moment? That is what I will be going into this guide for both people interested in clean driving and aggression, since in order to race, you sometimes need a bit of both.

Step 1: Pay attention to lanes and what side lanes they are driving in. On a straight line "like the one in this screenshot here" can be a good place to overtake the competition and get a few steps ahead if you are faster than the competition. However, do be aware that in motorsport nothing ever goes cleanly entirely and cars will block you sometimes preventing you from overtaking. This can happen on any lane straight or curved if they wanna hold on to their posistion on the track.

Step 2: Know your car's speed and the track you are racing on. Wheather conditions also play a role since heavy rain will affect how your car is gonna handle on the track if it is wet, this is something Forza Motorsport does I find very cool to see because weather really does play a huge role in how your car handles in races.

Step 3: Be prepared for anything on the track including a totaled car. While nobody likes to think about a worst possible outcome Forza Motorsport has taught me to always keep this in mind :)
How to use aggression when driving.
Aggression is not just about how fast you drive but how you handle your car on the track at the speed you are driving in. Aggression on the track will not really matter without control of your speed and precision at breaking. When I am playing Forza Motorsport I have very limited assist meaning that the only thing that is assisted is my gear shift. This is because Forza Motorsport cannot work with Shift and CTRL inputs so for now I have them to automatic.

Things you should keep in mind: Racing is about risk and reward don't jump into a race believing in perfection on the track because everything that can go wrong, will often go very wrong if you have such a mindset. Start with what you are aware of on the track, what car you are driving in and be aware of wheather condition and basic performance issues that may occure due to these conditions. If you keep everything like this in mind before the race then you should be all good at one step closer to victory.
