This game has something special in it, don't get me wrong there are flaws and missed promises, but I've never had so much fun in other racing game than Forza

As far as the racing sim goes, FM is quite decent. Good tacks with great details. Wide selection of cars. Perhaps I will write another review focused on the single player aspect of FM later.

This is my FM multiplayer review.

It is not bad overall, there are a few issues though:
1) After you practice and qualify, while you are waiting for the race start, you are very often dropped from the session due to "poor network connection". This is happening way too often, and no - it is not related to my Internet connectivity or hardware;
2) The collision penalty system needs serious improvement. In ~25% cases, when someone bumps you off the track, you are the one who gets penalty, not the guy who just bumped you out;
3) Very poor selection of the race classes. If you want to race a particular class, you might be out of luck for a while because such class might not be available for next 3-5 days. FM rotates classes daily and weekly, so you might be in for a long wait until the class you want appears;

And now the elephant in the room. The multi-player game in classes E, D, C, B and A is completely ruined by the exploits. Basically, there are some extreme configs for some cars (such as Porsche 550S) which produce unrealistic handling characteristics. Specifically: very high cornering speed. For example, if you drop such car on a straight, and enter a turn 20 car lengths ahead, in the middle of a turn you will suddenly feel the guy bumping into you and either keep bumping for the rest of the turn, possibly knocking you off the track, or passing you in the second half of the turn like you are stationary. Quite likely, the guy is not bumping into you on purpose, its just his car is so much quicker in turn, that you are a rolling roadblock for him and he is having trouble not ramming you. Cars with such exploits have 3-4 seconds per lap advantage on a short track. You can't compete with such time difference even against an incompetent driver (which is mostly the case). The advantage is just too great.

How to spot these frauds? Quite easily:
1) Look at the lap times, there will be 3-7 cars in the practice/quali/race with 3-5 seconds advantage over the rest of the pack;
2) Fraudster's cars will have some ridiculous rim size 22" or larger, which looks quite silly on a race car. This has something to do with the exploit. The exploit is just some abnormal car setup which would never work in a real life. It is not a hack;
3) The exploit does not work equally well for all cars, typical cars that I see are: P.550S, original Mini Cooper, VW Golf Mk I, Honda Civic, Open Kadett and some others. The list is longer;
4) If you gain some distance between your car and some car behind you on straights and then suddenly the other car massively comes back at you in every turn, often from very far behind - quite likely you are dealing with this exploit;

Basically, my point - FM allowed multi-player to be ruined by not doing anything about this exploit. There is absolutely no fun playing against cars with unrealistic handling, having 3-5 seconds advantage per lap. To me, this totally kills racing in E-A classes at the very least. Shame really.
