Updated method
Last tested working: September 2025

So this is an updated method that lets you do EVERYTHING within Steam launch commands, no need to touch any folders or files. Following up from BobidiousB who made the original method here, go buy him a spice cookie
Step 1: Skip the funcom launcher
Bypass the funcom launcher

Please note, this beginning section is referenced from BobidiousB who did fantastic work skipping the launcher, original post: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3493727115

Go to the game in Steam, click the gear icon > manage > browse local files.
In this folder in file explorer, go to "DuneSandbox\Binaries\Win64"
Right click "DuneSandbox_BE.exe" and "copy as path"
Back in steam, click the gear icon > properties.
In the "launch options" field, paste the path in, and add " %command%". Ultimately, this will look like the following. (Note the quotes around the path to the exe are only necessary if there are spaces in the path to the exe.)

Example:

"D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DuneAwakening\DuneSandbox\Binaries\Win64\DuneSandbox_BE.exe" %command%
Step 2: Skip the opening splash logos & opening custcene
Same thing in Properties > Steam Commands, add these two arguments at the end of your previous command:
-nosplash -nostartupscreen

So your final Launch Options should look like this example:

"D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DuneAwakening\DuneSandbox\Binaries\Win64\DuneSandbox_BE.exe" %command% -nosplash -nostartupscreen

Please make sure to follow the exact SPACING so it will work properly.

Voila enjoy, now go wake the sleper

I'm giving an update as the hotfix that came out today has dropped the minimal version for Radeon Gpu drivers to 25.9.1 so the error message will longer come up anymore on start up.

hm, no. I only meant to disabling it's permanent, repeated validation, not disabling the cache completely. But thanks :)

I don't recommend skipping shader validation as it helps your game run much, much better.

But if you absolutely can't wait a few seconds and want to you can try disabling the shader cache in Nvidia control panel, although I'm not sure if it'll work for this game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0y2HaRwqbAY&t=50s

I have installed the Optional drivers for Radeon Ver 25.9.2 and it stopped the Gpu warnings on start up and I have noted that the Graphical errors that noticed before updating have stopped occurring after installing mentioned version.

I will take a look at the graphics warning popup, but I'm sure they'll remove it soon

Right...?
