Realistic Car Physics [B42]

Description
Realistic Car Physics:

Requires manual Install! See install section for details!

New Update! Dynamic traction!
Vehicle traction for steering, braking and acceleration is now all dynamic and changes depending on road surface, weather and tire condition and pressure!

Vehicle physics has been revamped to solve several vanilla bugs like heavy vehicles tires falling through the world and going out of control when driving over zombies and animals.

Towed vehicles now tow even easier and even steer slightly towards you. Drag and on/off road rolling resistance has been redone from scratch and is now fully adjustable in sandbox options.

Slowdown impulse from hitting zombies is now fully adjustable in sandbox options! Make it as easy or as hard to plow through hoards of zombies as you want!

Now with manual shifting mode! And even more mod compatibility!

A Car Physics Overhaul Mod. Features include:

Accurately simulated 3-4-5 speed auto transmission with torque converter and alternate transmissions up to 8 speeds available via Project Summer Car as well as many other advanced car mechanic features!

Different levels of traction when going offroad, when it rains and when the ground is covered in snow!

Configurable steering with multiple settings to fine tune steering at low and high speed. Or switch back to vanilla steering if you wish!

Towing is now 100% easier: Someone left the brakes on the towed vehicle! Towed vehicles glide with ease behind you.. and crash into you if you stop too suddenly. Tire pressure also matters a lot for towing speed. Optionally require the key or vehicle be hot-wired to tow them easily!

Different vehicles have different RPM red lines and hit them in every gear before shifting if you floor it! Listen to your engine roar to life when you floor it!

Tires now visually lockup during hand braking and spin out if losing friction when accelerating. Tire friction based on tire type and condition limits accelerations. Enhanced tire skidding noises when burning out, turning hard and locking up the hand brake with different sounds for on road vs off road skids.

Tires matter! Low condition tires will burnout when you try to accelerate, Full inflation pressure will reduce drag on the road while low inflation pressure will reduce drag off road and increase traction off road!

Transmission automatically up shifts to save fuel when you apply partial throttle and down shifts when you apply full throttle just like a real automatic transmission! Or manual transmission mode if you prefer to shift yourself!

Horsepower tweaks made by mods now properly affect acceleration.

Per car adjustments of horsepower and top speed in sandbox settings. Make OP vehicles balanced! make underpowered vehicles overpowered! whatever you wanna do!

Optional: Disables autostart when you press the gas pedal. Click the engine icon or press engine start (default N) instead!

Cruise Control has been improved and is now much easier and safer to use!

Gamepad support for analog throttle, brake and manual shifting!

Light install that replaces less files than Better Car Physics and is more likely to work next update. Not compatible with Better Car Physics.

Compatible with: KI5, Filibuster Rhymes and all other mods that add new cars to the game!
Not compatible with: Build 41 (Please stop asking), Better Car Physics.

Can be installed/removed at any time in a save game!

Love the mod but is there anyway to disable or lower the volume of the constant tire screeching? It's a bit excessive imo

I think that this mod makes the game crash if there are too many ragdolls. I am not 100% sure but I was leaving a place where I had a ton of ragdolls and my game crashed (first time it does lol). Then when I went back into the game all mods had been disabled. Again I am not sure but I am guessing it is this mod since it crashed after I ran over a ragdoll or two, I think.

Otherwise, really cool mod. I'll keep playing with it and will be more cautious.

Not sure if it's been asked before, but is there a possibility of getting a neutral gear? I like to rev lol

Knox Event Expanded came up with a method for auto updating java changes you might want to check out. https://steamproxy.net/workshop/filedetails/discussion/3397396843/595136892797764113/

@technolibra Maybe? I kept it as a mod option because I knew some people love manual and others absolutely hate it.
@xxx_420_Bad_Boy [Wizard_Cum] I'll look into it.
@Black_moons any chance of compat patch with Vehicle Heater Sound System? The sounds you've added here (such as the squealing tires) aren't muffled for some reason.

hi cool mod.. question, is there a way to make cars be manual randomly? would be a funny way for me to be forced to learn it.

like be able to adjust a random spawnrate for manual and automatic cars
