The Iberians

Mediterranean Influence:
Gain + 1 Great Artist point in the Capital city for every incoming Trade Route of a different civilization. Gifted military units generate Culture for you and return to your control if you are at war with their new owner.

Sculptor Workshop:
Increase the gold from incoming trade routes by +1 Gold to you and to the trade route owner for every improved Stones, Marble, Iron, Silver or Gold on this city. The city must have at least one of the aforementioned resources.

Oppidum:
Unlocked at the discovery of Masonry, may only be built on hill tiles and not adjacent to another Oppidum. The Oppidum generates +1 Culture and grants +25% defense to units on the same tile. Units that pass through a Oppidum ignore terrain costs, may move after attacking and gain +33% Flanking Combat Strength bonus for one turn.

Can you make a Lusitanian nation, with Viriato as king?

I love this civ, but it's causing a conflict with another mod. I'm using Communitas and a few other civs. I took them out one by one, and it's definitely the Iberians causing the issue. It interferes with the production menu so that I can't build certain things like Temples and Universities. I'll check the CivFanattics thread and see if there's any information.

2. Unique Ability, Unique Building: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iberian_sculpture (Iberian sculptors absorved the art style of their trade partners) Unique Improvement: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castro_culture (They lived in walled towns on hills) Last part of the UA: Iberian mercenaries were famed through the ancient world and were hired to fight for carthage and rome, and were also known for betraying their former employees, if the situation seemed fit.

3. With Historical Religions enabled, they prefer Druidism. Otherwise, catholicism. Their Culture group is: Eastern, due to the bonuses (Free walls) and Mediterranean, for splash art and soundtrack.

Hey, great mod! I have three little questions:

1. What is the best victory type for Iberians? I bet it is the cultural because of the GA increased generation and late tourism from Oppidum improvments, but diplomatic can also be handy (Golden Ages from those great artists). Any other tricks, strategy? :)

2. What is the reason behind civilization's uniques? I mean something similar to reddit's "History Beyond Civs" :)

http://www.reddit.com/r/civ/comments/2tu4ki/history_behind_civs_babylon/

3. Historical religions and cultural diveristy: what default religion and what cultural group? I assume the latter is Mediterranean? ;)

And again, good job! :)

I think this idea is VERY good. Hope to see more like it!

@Fenrir:

Thanks! But I'd like to point out that I based the leaderhead on Tarcisio's initial design and composition I just used more detailed base resources. The background was also made by Tarcisio and I haven't changed it.

Wow, this is probably the best I've seen of Jan's art. I'll definately test Indibilis in my next playthrough. Does the Oppidum scale in any way into lategame? 1 culture seems a bit lackluster once the renaissance hits.
