Intro
Here, we'll look at several strategies for achieving maximum scores in both survival and story modes.

I don't claim to have the most optimized method. This guide is just a gateway to the high score... Some things can only be optimized by skill. There's also a lot of rng involved, especially in survival mode.

You want to hit hard enough to kill the monsters, be tough enough not to get a one-shot, and generate a lot of soul, because that's what increases your score the most: 1 soul = about 100 points, regardless of color. So we want to have lots of “soul chance”. We try to kill monsters quickly, without endangering ourselves, and generate souls. It's all a question of balance, and it's all going to come down to skill and a bit of rng.

Here are a few notions to have, and the axis to take to succeed.

This guide is still being written. I'm uploading it anyway because most of the important information is here.

Statistics explained
Some information on the game's statistics, to be saved for later.
We're going to take a look at all the statistics, to find out which way to go up.

Soul chance 👍 :
Soul chance has no cap. Every +100% Soul chance = 1 extra soul.
Ex: 400% soul = 4 soul/kill = 400 score.
We absolutely want to increase this static.
But in mission mode, it's not really possible, as the game doesn't last long enough to make it worthwhile.

I invite you to read this guide for a better understanding of soul chance and the score.

Damage 👍 :
Damage can be influenced in several ways. Sometimes indirectly, such as ricochet, breakthrough, etc.
But also through statistics, such as damage, critical hit chance and critical damage.

The best strategy for gaining damage is critical hit chance and critical damage. Here's why.

Full Sheet here [docs.google.com]

Like soul chance, it has no cap. Each +100% Crit Chance = 1 additional Critical applied.
It's based on your base damage, and your critical damage.

If we were to make a formula, it would look like this:

Luck 👎 :
Luck is the “Chance of being offered weapons of higher tiers when leveling up”.
We don't increase this stat during the run, because it's useless.

Generally speaking, we wait until the first level, to take our weapon straight up to level 3 / 5 IF this isn't the case, we restart the game.
It's a bit of a strange stat because it encompasses both the fact of seeing higher tier weapons, but it also decides how many tiers your weapon goes up.
If you have 100% luck (being the max), you'll only be offered +4 weapons.
On the other hand, if the weapon is already level 5, you won't be offered a higher tier at all.

Basically, it's great for starting a run, but don't increase it during your run.
You can play with an artifact that increases luck to start your run faster. But if you're patient, you'll have to restart the game many times.

The hp and regeneration 👍 :
It will depend on your skill. Enough to be comfortable.
There's a little meta, though, if you're playing with the Frenzy contract, you can regen your hp if you have a little downtime or there aren't too many monsters, to avoid losing too much hp.

Armor 👍:
This will depend on your skill. Enough to feel comfortable. Except in survival mode, when I'd advise you to cap it, as the game can go on for a very long time and the monsters can hit harder and harder.

Ammo 👎 and Recharge Speed 👍 :
Reload speed, as the name suggests, also reduces the cooldown of passive and secondary weapons. It's turbo cheated.
It's a stat that has no max, and can be used to perform minor “exploit”. (See become invicible)

Personally, I like to start with extra ammunition with an artifact. And then I try to take the reload speed.
Constellation
To increase the score drastically, we're going to play with the constellations that give a score multiplier. Mainly Cetus, Orion and Hydra.
These alone will give a +600% score, as well as x12 HP and x8 damage for all enemies.

These can be augmented with Eridanus, Scorpius, Pegasus and Perseus.

You can play with Andromeda to get a revive, at the expense of some % of score.

The rest of the constellations are up to you to test
Leaderbord
The leaderboard will put you in survival mode and mission mode by default. Unless you're using Herculus or Carin. Then you'll be in survival mode, and your score will only be in this category.

The max score that will be displayed on the leaderboard will always be 2,147,483,647 (int32)
Mission Mode strategy
Objective :
The objective is simple: we want a weapon to kill the ghost, holy water hose or proton buster.
Killing the ghost gives you 30,000,000 points with no multiplier.
All the while, you're trying to collect a lot of souls.

To optimize the score, we'd like to keep the game going as long as possible, without dying or killing the ghost, to generate souls.

Setup :
Start Weapon : pirate canon, hand catapulte, Tombstoner ❤️, Shotgun ❤️, Sniper ❤️

Recommended weapons:
For crowd control: Thunderstroke, pirate canon, hand catapult, Tombstone
DPS: Sniper, Shotgun, minigun
Weapons with ricochet also work : Elemental Pistol, Lightbringer
Penetration : Shattered Lightning, Tombstoner

A weapon to kill the ghost: Proton Buster or Holy Water Hoses

These are just ideas for weapons, so it's up to you to find the best combo.

Start run :
You want to have a good weapon, around +3 depending on your starting weapon, to be able to manage the rest. You can roll, or restart the game if you don't.

Passive and secondary Weapon :
2 shield generators. Especially useful when you have to move around, look for a chest or kill bosses, which is when you're most vulnerable.
Here too, you could theoretically go for something else, but honestly, In the second option I only see black holes or Skinator, I don't see what else could be useful.
The cat is good for ammo, hp and blood.
And the card is good, to gain critical chance, and damage, but it's a bit rng.

Relic & stats to focus :
Since the game only lasts about thirty minutes, it's hard to amass a lot of “soul luck”.
It's going to take a lot of roll, and a lot of luck, to get enough damage to take soul luck instead of critical hit luck (for example).

Interesting relics are Lucky Clover, Lucky Vampire-Slaying Underwear, if you get them early enough, they can really snowball.
In order of priority (in my opinion)
Critical chance > Dmg Crit ≈ DMG ≈ reload speed > Ammo > Armor > HP & HP Regen

If you have a lot of tokens, don't hesitate to ban the relics early. The sooner you ban common relics, the sooner you'll have better-quality relics.

Personal best: 270,152,512 in Brotherhood Chateau, with Cetus-Orion-Hydra-Eridanus-Lepus-Centaurus-Crater-Pegasus-Perseus
Survivor Mode Strategy
Objective :
The aim is to survive as long as possible (logical).

To increase the score, you'll need to increase the soul chance.
For Herculus, killing the ghost doesn't give you an extra score.
So you'll have to juggle between damage - survival - soul chance sats.

The mirror relic is almost mandatory if you want to score big. IF you have it in your roll, you'll absolutely need to lock it, to use it at the right moment.

The max score that will be displayed on the leaderboard will always be 2,147,483,647 (int32)
And the max score to be reached “theorically” in game would be the max value of a float (3.402823466E+ 38)

Constellation : (WIP)
Obviously, we'll be playing with Carina or Herculus to activate survival mode.

Carina says in her description that they increase the damage/hp/speed of enemies as the game progresses, but this isn't really the case.

The first 30 minutes will be normal. As if you were in survival mode. You'll have the same enemies, the same waves of bosses (I'm talking in terms of hp/degats, the bosses themselves being random.)
Everything will be the same.
It's only after 30 minutes that the monsters will be up.

For the moment, from what I've been able to measure, it doesn't seem to be linear.
On Brotherhood Chateau, I was able to measure the following (without Hydra, cetus, orion)

For bosses, it's similar. The hp increases, and it adds 1 boss to each wave.

Setup :
Start Weapon : pirate canon, hand catapulte, Tombstoner ❤️, Shotgun ❤️, Sniper ❤️

Recommended weapons:
For crowd control: Thunderstroke, pirate canon, hand catapult, Tombstone
DPS: Sniper, Shotgun, minigun
Weapons with ricochet also work : Elemental Pistol, Lightbringer
Penetration : Shattered Lightning, Tombstoner
Support : Killerfrost

These are just ideas for weapons, so it's up to you to find the best combo.

Relic & stats to focus :
The Mirror of multiverse Reborn is going to be the most important. We'll have to use it quite late. Around the 60-1h30 mark.
So lock it up as soon as you get it.
It's a fairly rare relic, so it doesn't drop very often.

Interesting relics are Lucky Clover, Lucky Vampire-Slaying Underwear, if you get them early enough, they can really snowball.

In order of priority (in my opinion)

I haven't been able to test all that much, as I don't have the time to do 2h/3h runs.
Bonus : Become invincible (Theory)
I think there's a way to become legitimately invincible.
Everything happens with the Scout character in particular, as his blood skills enable him to kill enemies on contact without suffering damage.

The goal is to be on Blood Ability all the time.
It's all about blood ability duration and how you generate blood. With a balance between combo time/Blood Per kill/Reload Speed.
The cat gives blood too, so if you manage to keep the cooldown on passive weapons low enough, it'll give you 5 every time (x2 if you have 2 cat)

Blood gauge = 600. So 600 kill/blood if you don't have a multiplier.

With permanent upgrades. Blood Ability Duration is 3.5s.
Depending on your character, blood is consumed directly when you activate your blood ability (e.g. Scout). You can still refill the blood while under blood ability.

So the aim is to create an infinite loop. We're under blood ability, so we regenerate it before the end, and reactivate it in a loop.

Blood ability duration can be increased in game, with “blood capsule”.
Blood per kill can be increased by Soul Shackles, but they're not stacked (I've never managed to get 2 in the same run).
For passive weapon (cat), As cooldown is also based on reload speed, it's very interesting to increase reload speed. This is the ideal candidate.

Knowing that the cat has an initial cooldown of 30 seconds and taking into account the 3.5s of blood ability. You'd need a total of ≈102757 % reload speed (≈51379 if you have 2 cats).

Here's a formula to help you:

Thanks.
Now it's up to you. With all this information, to find the god run.
There's a lot of detail to be added, but I'm afraid it's too indigestible to read. It must be exhausting as it is (sorry).

If you have other strategies, if you're stronger than me (easy), don't hesitate to share your tips. I might even pass you over as a contributor. But I'll try to keep the guide up to date with any new developments.

The guide has been translated with DeepL, sorry for the syntax and grammatical errors. I need support, as I don't speak English very well.

I also invite you to read my other guides, on the explanation of the score, with more to come.

Thank you for reading. And happy hunting.
