Introduction
Not everyone seems to have freezes but I had them bad.

This is what worked for me as while I do see some people complaining about the issue, I couldn't find any fixes which worked for me on reddit or steam.

(I also didn't want to try and roll-back my drivers for one game.)
Fix Freezes
Install SpecialK - It's a useful tool and in this case fixed my freezing issues.
SpecialK[github.com]
"Lovingly referred to as the Swiss Army Knife of PC gaming, Special K does a bit of everything."

You have to download the .DLL and rename to so it's loaded by the game or you can inject.
SpecialK Wiki - Local Install[wiki.special-k.info]

Launch the game and open the overlay by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + Backspace

I then set Sekiro to run in Borderlesss Fullscreen - at this point the game worked fine for me.

There's some other Sekrio specific settings here:
SpecialK Wiki - Sekiro[wiki.special-k.info]
Increase/Remove FPS Cap
You can make the game run at above 60fps by using another .DLL
Don't set the FPS cap to 60 as recommended in the SpecialK Sekiro settings - Should be obvious
PCgamingWiki - Sekiro Change Refresh Rate[www.pcgamingwiki.com]

If you have renamed specialK.dll, obviously choose a different name for this .DLL
You may need to enter your Nvidia/Radeon control panel and disable V-SYNC

Changing the Refresh Rate
Upon launching the game you will generate an .XML file with some configuration settings.

You can edit the file using any plain text editor.
<cbFramelock>true</cbFramelock> - Is the frame lock enabled?
<tbFramelock>144</tbFramelock> - If so, what is it?

Save the file and launch the game.
PS4/5 Controllers
If you use a PS4/5 controller, you will want to set in the SpecialK options menu to run it as an Xbox Controller.

You can also install PlayStation Icons:
Nexus - PlayStation Icons for Sekiro[www.nexusmods.com]
Requires:
Nexus - Sekiro Mod Engine [www.nexusmods.com]

You need to make a 'mods' folder after installing the Mod Engine.
You can then paste the extracted Glyph mod inside like so:
Addendum: Potential Issue / Fix
Originally, within the Sekiro FPS unlocker I had a different resolution to that of my monitor listed.

This may need to be set to a size that fits your monitor although this did have no tangible affect from what I could see. Whether this setting is actively referenced I'm unsure.
