This guide will give you information on how to play the Nemesis Assassin Event. The Nemesis Assassin event is playable from November 20th until December 7th.

The Nemesis Assassin Event revolves around the brand new Phantom Assassin arcana called the Manifold Paradox. The set can be purchased from the Dota 2 store and is on sale for the duration of the event.







The arcana includes custom effects, custom hero icons, evolving weapons, custom ability icons, an altered voice and a bonus chat emoticon.




Phantom Assassins twin blades will evolve by winning games of Dota. For every victory during the Nemesis Assassin Event you'll earn three points towards your weapon upgrade no matter what hero you're playing. After December 7th you'll need to win games playing Phantom Assassin and you'll only earn one point.

Each day during the event, the heroes with the most kills against Oracle will be posted on Oracle's Nemesis Registry.



If a player in the game has the Manifold Paradox arcana set in their inventory and somebody chooses Phantom Assassin while a nemesis is on the opposing team, a contract will be issued for their death. If Phantom Assassin slays the nemesis first the contract will be fulfilled.



However, if Phantom Assassin is killed by the nemesis first the contract will be denied.



As the event progresses Oracle's nemesis will be sent to the graveyard. Once they've entered the graveyard they are no longer considered a nemesis and will no longer be a part of the Nemesis Assassin Event. The number of contracts fulfilled and denied will be weighed before a hero is sent to the graveyard. As one hero enters the graveyard another hero will take their place on Oracle's Nemesis Registry.

If every hero in the game is sent to the graveyard the event will reset.

The Nemesis Assassin Event is playable through unranked matchmaking, not including bot matches.

If Phantom Assassin is picked against a nemesis while a player in the game has the Manifold Paradox arcana in their inventory the event will trigger. Every player in the game will receive a notification letting them know who it is Phantom Assassin must slay to fulfill the contract.




At any point during the match you can view the status of the contract by opening the scoreboard.



If Phantom Assassin is killed by the nemesis, or if Phantom Assassin kills the nemesis, a notification will appear at the top left hand side of the screen.




The team which either fulfills or denies the contract must then go on to win the game in order to be rewarded. The winning team will receive a trophy for their trophy showcase.




Along with the trophy there is a chance the winning team may also earn a cluster drop of items. The items will be awarded to all five players. Item rewards are based on total time played during the event, not individual games.
