i had 4 jars of meat and then one day they all disappeared ;w; they got replaced with extra jars filled with water (but not the lids lmao) - cured meat works fine tho but all that wasted salt and vinegar orz i love this mod anyway

does it only work for certain meat?

Pemmican, 4 months? That's some really poor pemmican. A proper pemmican could last a decade, and it should be at least one year. Canned meat 6 month? Again, way too short. Given the lid holds, it should be 5 years.

I've had the same problem as Lamplighter, a major problem this mod has with my run is that im starting from primitive and am not looting canned food/other food stuffs, and while this mod is amazing to help with food preserving without power, losing very precious calories to prevent weight loss while trying to keep a food stock is harsh. Hopefully it's patched or resolved soon

When I used the salting method on a big fish filet (81 Hunger 8500 calories) it took 60 of the hunger rating off of the the fish, didn't take any of the calories, and the salted fish only had 420ish calories. When I dried it in the oven, the already small calorie count got cut in half. When I tried canning a filet (21 Hunger 2500 calories) it consumed the whole fish, all 30 units of my vegetable oil and only gave me a can worth 370 calories. I get the idea of losing some of the nutritional value in the preservation process, but this seems more like a bug to me.

Does this mod work with an existing save? I don't see any new recipes

@Blagden You can make your own jars from scratch using the glassmaking skill, make your own lids using metalworking (blacksmithing) the only hard thing to find is the sugar/vinegar for jarring.

Put meat in a jar doesn't seem to consume the jar in the recipe, although it does consume the lid.

is this compatible with saphs cooking?

More meat to add salt like Bunny and Chicken!
