Kraków

Description
Kraków is the second-largest city of Poland, counting 750.000+ residents (±90.000 in game).
It used to be the Polish capital for centuries and is now a major cultural centre in eastern Europe and considered one of the most beautiful cities of Europe.
The city centre in particular has to deal with quite heavy traffic.
Your task is to build a nice public transport system for those who want to by-pass the traffic jams.
With about 70 kilometers of double tram tracks already laid out for you, it shouldn’t be too difficult to set up a profitable tram system.

Making a map with this amount of detail would not have been possible without:

Have fun!

P.S.: please don’t try to communicate with me in Polish or other Slavic languages since I am Dutch.

@04igor04: Try to search here on discussion boards. I had to find it too, but I don't remember now the approach. You have to find proper map file in proper directory and copy it to completely different place. Like from Steam folder to users/Local data on Windows or something like that.

Wonderful map, but I have some trouble with traffic jams on "Rondo Mogilskie", so I want to fix it, but I cant open it in map editor. Do u have any solution?

When I opened the map in editor, I have private car usage only 52%. So I had to increase it (definitely over 100%). Anywyay yes, sometimes it is a nice nostalgy of lost hopes, what this game could have become and what C:S have not yet. (Yes, I know, you have one map for C:S too and I have alrady tried in past the first version.)

@Mvek thanks for your comment.
Great to see that people are still enjoying this map, after all these years.

I remember that this map actually generates a lot of traffic. So indeed, your second point is probably a result of the ruleset you are using.

I will try to add a link in the description towards the Steam discussion you're talking about. Thanks for the tip :happymeat:

Nice map. I like that it clearly is handcrafted. But as it is large city, it is a lot repetitive in some districts (I don't like the clusters of 3 or even more hypermarkets or high school etc., but I understand that the CiM2 does not offer so many buildings, it is simply a problem to make diverse large citie).

Beware of two things:
1) You need to find out, how to allow buildings from US and Europe at the same time (there is a discussion post here on Steam, just search for european buildings).
2) The private car usage factor is reduced to 60 % or something like that. So there are never traffic jams even if you use ruleset with some reasonable modifier. I recommend then to use very big multiplier in your ruleset or change the game in map editor (again some discussion thread about how to load workshop map to editor can be found here).

I made a mistake with second point, while I was trying, which speed factor is right for me and I have now very empty roads in my game.

Świetna mapa! Zainsteresowałem się nią, ponieważ mieszkam na przedmieściach Krakowa i ograłem wszystkie podstawowe mapy. Gratulacje dla twórcy
