Omega Rugal Cuts his way into smack studio! This boss of the neo-geo era comes with a vengeance to destroy his competition once and for all! Beware the genocide cutter!


NOTE: Omega Rugal is a powerful character in contrast with his low defence. He has multiple combo strings, multiple specials, inflicts self-damage but can also heal using his down tilt strings and taunt, possesses a just-frame genocide cutter variant and sweet spot knee on hit forward air for insane knockback / kill potential.


NEUTRAL SPECIAL: REPPUKEN (GROUNDED) / OMEGA HEEL (AIR)

Rugal's reppuken projectile slashes across the floor! Damaging enemies on contact with fast cooldown. (Inflicts 1% DMG)

Rugal's omega heel drags enemies down on hit, exploding on impact when landing sending enemies sky high. (Inflicts 6% DMG)

SIDE SPECIAL: GOD PRESS

Rugal grabs his enemies across the stage and delivers an exploding end, sending enemies and anyone caught in his destruction flying! (Inflicts 10% DMG)

UP SPECIAL: GENOCIDE CUTTER

Rugal slices/cuts upwards with his legs in a arc, this huge hit box and damaging up special is a true kill move. Can be performed twice by pressing special and delayed until landing. This move also has a just frame variant which must be pressed on that exact frame, the just-frame effect gives the player indication on where to press special again. (Inflicts 3% - 4% DMG)

DOWN SPECIAL: KAISER WAVE / DARK BARRIER / GENOCIDE PARRY

Rugal strikes a pose, cancelling into different specials!

Special - Rugal sends a damaging kaiser wave projectile across the stage, this has a huge hitbox and can send enemies flying! (Inflicts 10% DMG)

Attack - Rugal strikes his genocide parry pose, if hit, will transition into his genocide cutter! which can also be performed twice. (Inflicts 5% DMG on successful parry)

Shield - Rugal sets up his dark barrier, hitting enemies multiple times on travel, able to reflect projectiles and set up combo strings. (Inflicts 7% DMG)

ULTRA: OMEGA DESTRUCTION GENOCIDE CUTTER

Rugal unleashes a flurry of genocide cutters with extreme aggression! (Inflicts 30% DMG)

JAB STRING: ROUNDHOUSE END / UPPERCUTTER

Rugal can cancel his jab string ending in a strong roundhouse into a launching uppercutter along his 4-hit string. Pressing special will launches enemies up into the air!

DOWN TILT STRING: SKY PIERCER / BEADS DESTRUCTION

Rugal performs a kick string, upon hitting with his sky piercer, which launches enemies into the air, he can jump cancel to continue his combos. If the player doesn't jump cancel, rugal will fall into a long recovery animation. Rugal can cancel into Beads destruction using special attack which grabs enemies and heals himself. He can cancel along his 3 hit-string. (Heals 15% LIFE)

TAUNT: MACHINA RECHARGE

Rugal heals himself with MACHINA, healing at a rate of 12% - 13% - 12% overtime
