PyroTech Equis Class Frigate Mk8

The PyroTech Equis Class Frigate Mk8 is, as the name states, the eighth iteration of the long standing Equis frigate line from the PyroTech fleet with a complete overhaul. It's a well balanced ship that serves mostly as a forward operations center during long distance trips and planetary operations. This specific iteration however hosts numerous armaments along her hull and is geared for more of a combat roll as a main battle frigate. The turrets she bolsters include eight artillery turrets for sustained assault, four auto cannons for medium to light targets, five type II gattling turrets to combat rockets and small targets primarily serving as countermeasures during planetary raids, and two missile turrets that serve a similar purpose.

The performance of her maneuverability massively outweighs all other generations that has come before. With a greater number of gyroscopes, an increased number of thrusters, and the addition of two major ion boosters in the front of the ship she has the ability to turn on a dime and accelerate at a more than reasonable speed for a ship of her size. PyroTech has even achieved a larger hangar that can now house three small fighters instead of the previous models only having enough room for just the one. This was achieved by consolidating the life support systems with the medical center and removing one refinery. However she still has retained one refinery and two assemblers so ore production may be stiffened slightly but PyroTech had come to the decision that this was much more of a well rounded approach.
