For the first time in Outlast history, players will face a gun-wielding villain. New Prime Asset, Franco “Il Bambino” Barbi comes armed with a sawed-off shotgun that will strike Reagents from a distance, making the chase all the more challenging. Franco featured in the new map “The Docks” where the new Trial: Poison the Medicine, takes place.

Project Lupara is the first season of The Outlast Trials, which was released on July 16, 2024.

Introduction


This update will not only introduce a new villain and a new map, but will also feature a new roguelike game mode: Escalation, a new player ability: The Barricade Rig, a new Trial in and MK-Challenges, difficulty options for players, overhauls to matchmaking, menu UI, daily and weekly tasks, and a new in-game economy.
