Description
Lester B. Pearson Collegiate Institute is a High School located in Toronto Ontario, Canada. The school opened in 1978 and was designed by "Raymond Moriyama". This school was the fourth and final school constructed in Toronto that featured a unique "combined campus" that placed both a Middle School and a High School in the same building as a means to save money. In this case the campus is home to "Dr. Marrion Hilliard Senior Public School" and "Lester B. Pearson Collegiate Institute". While the two schools occupy the same building and share the cafeteria and library, all other aspects of the schools are separate. Today Pearson CI is one of only 3 schools left in Toronto that feature the unique combined campus (the others being Don Mills CI, and Stephen Leacock CI).

As for the building itself both the middle school and high schools wings opened simultaneously in 1978. The first expansion of the school would occur in 1984 with the opening of a 1 story extension to the middle school wing, and a new gym/weight room. The school would be expanded once more in 1989 with the addition of a 2 story expansion of the high school wing and a new "gallery" area.

This school features: 35 Standard Classrooms (11 Middle School, 24 High School), 6 Science Labs (2 Middle School, 4 High School), 2 Double Gyms (1 Middle School, 1 High School), 2 Single Gyms (High School, one used as Weight Room), 25m Swimming Pool (High School), Cafeteria (with Stage, shared), and Library (shared).
