Introduction
God of War Ragnarök 100% Achievement Guide

Number of Missable Achievements: 0 (all achievements can be unlocked after completing the game, in free-roam)

Minimum number of playthroughs: 1

Difficulty required for 100%: Not Required (all achievements can be unlocked on the lowest difficulty)

Time to 100%: Approximately 50 hours or more

This game has a lot of collectibles, so be sure to keep an eye out for them as you progress through the story to minimize backtracking. Due to the text limit on Steam guides, I'm unable to list all the collectible locations here (I could, but it would look messy and take alot of time). Instead, I'll provide a YouTube link with the necessary information.

Note: The achievement "Collector" is bugged for some. When you're supposed to get the correct material for the hilt, or the hilt itself, it doesn't drop. So, be extra careful tracking this specific achievement. In the worst-case scenario, you would have to play 10+ hours for a chance of getting the hilt again in New Game+. Hopefully, it gets fixed soon.

^^Make a manual save just before obtaining the material/hilt. If it bugs out, just reload the save and try again. (The Hilt of Dainsleif, the Hilt of Angrvadall, the Hilt of Ridill, the Hilt of Tyrfing, and the Hilt of Hrotti are the ones you should especially look out for)

There is a bug currently regarding achievements not tracking upon the first startup of the game, so restart Steam once after launching the game. Also remember to link your playstation account

Collector Obtain all Relics and Sword Hilts There are 14 Relics/Sword Hilts located throughout the game. Some of these are rewarded during story missions (if you miss any, they will be available in blue chests at Brok and Sindri's shops). Others can be found in Legendary Chests, while some require you to locate all four "Lost Pages" to make them purchasable at the shop. Additionally, certain Relics can only be obtained after completing the campaign. Lost Pages: (used to craft 4 relics) #1 - The Barrens (Alfheim) - Head northwest on the sled toward the tall white structure. Enter the structure, where you'll encounter Dark Elves and a Dark Elf Lord. After defeating them, you'll find the page next to the Legendary Chest and an artifact. #2 - The Forbidden Sands (Alfheim) - Enter the Sanctum building and proceed to the library, where you'll also find a lore marker and a treasure map. #3 - The Lost Treasury (Midgard) - Inside the Lost Treasury, after completing the Favor: Sigrun’s Curse. Climb up the golden chain, turn around, and smash through the floor to find the scroll. #4 - The Plains (Vanaheim) - Located on the ground inside the Wishing Well area. Relics: #1 - Talisman of Meign - Main Story Reward #2 - Glaive of Dodher - Main Story Reward #3 - Hilt of Hofud - Main Story Reward #4 - Hilt of Dainsleif - Can be crafted after obtaining one of the Lost Pages. Requires the Svefnthorn, dropped by the "Ormstunga" miniboss at the end of Alberich Hollow. #5 - Hilt of Angrvadall - Can also be crafted once the requisite Lost Page is found. Requires Skirnir’s Gambanteinn, dropped by the "Gravel Belly" boss during The Desert Door Favor. #6 - Hilt of Ridill - Requires another Lost Page to be found. Also requires the Crackle of Bilskirnir, dropped by the "Olaf Nautson" miniboss during the Animal Instincts Favor (Besties Achievement). #7 - Hilt of Tyrfing - This is the last one that requires a Lost Page. It also needs the Nar's Cup resource, which is dropped by the "Blatonn" miniboss in The Abandoned Village in Vanaheim. #8 - Mystical Heirloom - This can only be found after acquiring Draupnir. Head to Midgard, where you'll find a destructible ice wall to the southwest of Tyr's Temple, near the Lost Treasury's Mystical Gate, which requires Draupnir to open. Destroy the wall, and the hilt will be located next to a lore scroll. #9 - Hilt of Gram - Found in a Legendary chest in Alfheim's Temple of Light. #10 - Hilt of Hrotti - This Relic is dropped by the second Oath Guard miniboss you defeat in Vanaheim, The Plains. There are three of these minibosses in the region, all armored knights found on optional side paths. It doesn’t matter which two you fight, as the second one you defeat will always drop this Relic. #11 - Motsognir’s Call - Found in Niflheim, at the Aesir Prison Wreckage. It's located to the left of the Legendary Chest on the top floor of the prison. Since it isn't tracked in the region overview for 100% completion, it can be easy to overlook, but you can return anytime to pick it up. The region becomes accessible only after the story, through a new path that opens up to the left of The Raven Tree in Niflheim. #12 - Hilt of Forsbrandr - You’ll need to destroy all 48 of Odin’s Ravens to open the six Legendary Chests at The Raven Tree in Niflheim. After opening all six chests, a boss called "The Raven Keeper" will spawn. Follow the boss down the hill, turn right into the arena, and defeat it to obtain the Relic. #13 - Huldra Project #9 - Purchasable post-campaign in any shop for 10,000 Hacksilver #14 - Hilt of Skofnung - Dropped by "Hrolf" in King's Grave, Midgard. This boss can only be fought after completing all Berserker Gravestones.

Quests
Rebel Leader Return the Hammer of the Rebellion Speak to Durlin in his tavern in Nidavellir, Svartalfheim. He will ask you to retrieve his hammer, which is sealed inside the larger hammer of a giant Dwarf statue. This statue is located on the bridge connecting Dragon Beach to Alberich Hollow. Interact with the rune slate to reveal a script at the base of the statue. Once you read it, the large hammer will lift, uncovering Durlin's Hammer. Pick it up and return it to him at his tavern.

New Friends Fetch Lúnda's orb The Mysterious Orb quest begins in Vanaheim at Freyr's Camp. Speak with Lunda, the female blacksmith, and she will ask you to find a missing orb. The orb is located in The Veiled Passage, right by the shore where you can dock your boat. Return the orb to Lunda at the River Delta blacksmith shop.

Making Amends Free the Lyngbakr This quest can be found on Lyngbakr Island, located in the middle of the Bay of Bounty in Svartalfheim, north of The Watchtower. To complete it, you need to cut three chains on Lyngbakr Island and then visit the southwestern section of the island by boat.

It Was a Good Day Retrieve Mardöll This quest for Freya can be started automatically by sailing down the River Delta past the Mystic Gateway in Freyr’s Camp. This is possible after completing the "The Reckoning" main quest. The River Delta is only accessible during the day, so you'll need to change the time of day at the Celestial Altar at Freyr’s Camp Mystic Gateway to remove the blockade from the river.

Invasive Species Complete all of the Crater Hunts To access the Crater, located north of Vanaheim, you’ll need to do two things: #1 - Complete the main quest “Creatures of Prophecy.” #2 - Complete the “Scent of Survival” favor, which is triggered when you attempt to leave Vanaheim after finishing the main quest. Once you reach the Crater, you’ll see “Dragon Hunts” appear in the main menu map checklist. Along with “Epic Hunts,” these contribute to the “Crater Hunts” criteria. There are 7 Dragon Hunts and 2 Epic Hunts in the Crater area.
  • The Plains: 2 Dragon Hunts, 2 Epic Hunts
  • The Sinkholes: 2 Dragon Hunts
  • The Jungle: 3 Dragon Hunts
Quests pt.2
Besties Pet Speki and Svanna Unfortunately, this isn’t an achievement you get for walking up to your wolves and petting them, though that would be great. The "Animal Instincts" quest is automatically started after clearing any of the four Kol Raider Camps in Midgard. In this quest, players must clear out all four Kol Raider Camps, which are situated around the outskirts of the Lake of Nine. Once you’ve cleared all four camps and defeated the Chieftain, Olaf Nautson, you’ll need to interact with your wolves to complete the quest.

Rightful Place Return all the Lindwyrms to Ratatoskr The quest can be started by talking to Ratatoskr, the squirrel, just outside of Sindri’s house. All the lindwyrms can be found in Yggdrasil Rifts throughout Svartalfheim and Vanaheim. They will appear before the favor starts but can only be interacted with once the favor has begun. #1 - The Forge (Svartalfheim) - Found on a ledge after receiving the Draupnir Spear and learning how to use it for traversal. #2 - Alberich Hollow (Svartalfheim) - After Ormstunga boss fight, on a ledge. #3 - Alberich Island (Svartalfheim) - On the platform between the two islands. #4 - The Applecore (Svartalfheim) - Next to The Applecore Mystic Gate, which can be reached via a Draupnir Spear climb. #5 - The Plains (Vanaheim) - In the corner of the area where you fight The Crimson Dread dragon. #6 - The Plains (Vanaheim) - Near the Celestial Altar in Eastern Plains.

Pure of Hart Return the Stags of the Four Seasons This quest starts automatically when you approach any of the four stags found in The Crater area in Vanaheim. You access this area by completing the favor "Scent of Survival" in Vanaheim. Alternatively, you can start it by talking to Ratatoskr (Squirrel) at Sindri’s house once you’ve reached the Crater area of Vanaheim. #1 - The Stag of Winter - Located at The Overgrown Tower Mystic Gateway, beyond the area where you fight the red dragon. Remember, you need the Yggdrasil Leaves from Ratatoskr at Sindri’s House to feed the stag. #2 - The Stag of Summer - Found across the bridge in The Jungle, which requires completing the favor "Return of the River" to refill the river and access it. Once the water is flowing, you can row the boat to the Celestial Altar to change the time to day, which is important for altering some plants in the environment. Dock the boat at the island where ogres are throwing rocks and defeat them. Afterward, use your Chaos Blades to pull open the path and swing across to reach the stag. Note that you can only swing across during the day; it isn’t possible at night. #3 - The Stag of Autumn - Located right next to the Sinkholes Entrance Mystic Gateway. #4 - The Stag of Spring - Found inside the Wishing Well, which is accessible via either The Sinkholes or The Jungle.

Trials by Fire Complete the Trials of Muspelheim Before starting the Trials (a total of 15 trials), we need to go to Svartalfheim to collect two Muspelheim seeds. Once you have both seeds, you can travel to Muspelheim via the Mystic Gateway. #1 - Muspelheim Seed Piece - Can be found in a Legendary Chest at Modvitnir’s Rig in Svartalfheim. The Crucible favor starts automatically upon acquiring the first Muspelheim seed piece. #2 - Muspelheim Seed Piece - The second seed is found inside a Legendary Chest in Alberich Hollow. To access this area, go to Dragon Beach and climb your way up to the bridge. At the end of the path, you’ll encounter some enemies. Clear the area, then head left toward the cave. The chest will be covered in debris, which you need to clear with a fire bomb. You can find a fire bomb a little further to the left from the chest.

Funeral for a Friend Attend the funeral
"Combat" Achievements
Grave Mistake Battle King Hrólf There are 9 Berserker Gravestones you must complete before taking on the final one in King's Grave, Midgard, where you face "Hrolf." If you've played the God of War 2018 game, it's similiar to the Valkyrie achievement. The gravestones they reside in are marked on the map with a red diamond symbol, so they should be relatively easy to find. However, I'll list the locations anyway. #1 - Fraekni the Zealous - Lake of Nine Gravestone (Midgard) #2 - Bodvar the Fierce & Starolfr the Troublesome - Jarnsmida Pitmines Gravestone (Svartalfheim) #3 - Hardrefill the Callous - Nidavellir Gravestone (Svartalfheim) #4 - Beigadr the Feared - Alberich Island Gravestone (Svartalfheim) #5 - Sisters of Illska & Svipdagr the Cold - The Barrens Gravestone (Alfheim) #6 - Hjalti the Stolid - The Forbidden Sands Gravestone (Alfheim) #7 - Hvitserkr the Bold - Pilgrim’s Landing Gravestone (Vanaheim) #8 - Haklangr the Bearded - The Sinkholes Gravestone (Vanaheim) #9 - Skjothendi the Unerring - Mist Fields Gravestone (Niflheim) #10 - King Hrolf Kraki - Once you've killed all 12 Berserkers, the final gravestone at King's Grave in Midgard will activate. This is the toughest fight of them all, so reaching Gear Level 9 is highly recommended.

The True Queen Battle Gná You'll automatically receive this quest after finishing the main story. Gná will be waiting for you in the Crucible area of Muspelheim. Return to the Muspelheim challenge arena (check Trials by Fire achievement if you haven't been here yet). On the right, you'll see the glow of an Asgard remnant. A small passage on the right-hand side of the arena will lead you toward the remnant. After a few Blade Leaps, you'll reach Gná's camp. Approaching the diary on the ground will trigger her appearance. At this point, you can either start the fight or go back and prepare. This is a challenging battle, but if you defeated the Valkyries in the previous game, you'll know what to expect.

Style Points Equip a Cosmetic Armor After your first death, complete the next run until you return to the hub area. Before starting your next run, interact with the yellow glowing pillar in the hub area to change your cosmetic appearance. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect your attributes.

Fight at the Forum Participate in a fight at The Forum arena The Forum is the third and final arena, located in the foggy maze area just before the Týr boss. Arenas unlock gradually as you progress through the story. You don't need to play in the first two arenas; participating in one match in the third arena is sufficient.

Easy Come, Easy Go Acquire more than 15,000 Fleeting Echoes on a single attempt This will happen automatically as you work toward the "Fight at the Forum" achievement. To enter the Forum arena, you must first defeat seven Chosen. The arena provides more than enough points, so there’s no need to worry. Just focus on completing the Forum arena.

Wayfarer Visit all 9 Realms in Valhalla The 3 Realms out of 9 are determined by which starting weapon perk you choose. In the first chamber, you can select a buff for the Axe, Blades, or Spear. Your choice will determine the Realm you enter before the final Realm (the second-to-last Realm before reaching the foggy maze). To visit each of these Realms, you must pick each weapon once and complete a playthrough with it. The other 6 Realms are random, and you’re very likely to visit each of them at least once while completing the story. The only Realms you won’t encounter by chance are the 3 weapon-specific ones.

Understood the Assignment Complete 9 Mastery Quests

You Again? Find all 3 Boat Captain Keys The Boat Captain's Keys become available only after reclaiming Pandora’s Statue. On your next attempt, a purple key will spawn in the first chamber, in front of the painting next to where you open the first chest. One key will appear here for each additional run you successfully complete. However, you must defeat Týr each time; if you die, the next key won’t spawn. The second and third keys will also appear in the same spot, in the first chamber in front of the same painting.
Gratz!
The Bear and the Wolf Collect all Trophies Yes, "trophies" for some reason they didnt swap it to "achievements" on steam.

:cozybethesda: Thanks. That's what I will do now. Base game, then DLC.

@Challenger No, the DLC doesn't start automatically. You should be able to start the DLC from the main menu screen. Highly recommend finishing the base game first :er_wave:

Does Valhalla DLC start automatically? I'm playing the game for the first time, and I just fought Nidhögg with Freya. I wonder if I can access those arenas now.
Temezi  [author] 1 Oct @ 1:42pm
@Tohic chill I'm not quite sure I fully understand what you're struggling with, but I'm assuming it's the Valkyrie Queen's location. It seems like most of the bugs in this game can be fixed by simply reloading an old save. Try reloading an auto or manual save from just before the fight and see if that helps (restarting the game might work too) :coolstar2022:

I have a mystery, where the locks are, there is half a mask, but when I died in the fight, I was reborn and I am not allowed into the location where I fight the torus, and there is no passage, There is simply no button to enter the location through the gap through the opening, what should I do? !

No problem hopefully saves people from suffering the same problem two of us already have :praisesun:

@Sgt. Dreadnought Cheers, the warning is up now. You might have just saved countless hours of replaying in New Game+ :praisesun:
Sgt. Dreadnought 30 Sep @ 1:06pm
@Temezi yes had i noticed it would have mattered, cause i could have just loaded an autosave from before the fight happened, or if you create a manual save before each miniboss fight you can just reload that save if the item bugged. I know you can do this cause on my NG+ IT BUGGED AGAIN and i made a save just in case, reloaded and the 2nd time it dropped the item. My brother had the same thing happen to him on "The Hilt of Ridill" thankfully i warned him about it and told him to make manual saves before these miniboss fights just in case. Also im not holding my breath granted they havent fixed it since the games launch in 2022 and the bug is still present on PC port
